Please follow social distancing guidelines when on the course, at tourney central and when getting food from our good friends at Bruce's Badass BBQ that will be on site with their delicious items for purchase or purchasing cold drinks from Sheri from MCDGO. Everyone's health and safety is of the utmost importance to us. Please respect staff and other competitor’s wishes regarding social distancing.

Please try not to congregate at tourney central or make noise during play. If your round is finished, chances are others are still on the course. Respect the other competitors as you would want to be respected. In general, competitors should not be congregating around staff outside of turning in scorecards, checking results, picking up player’s packs or conferring with the TD.
All amateur competitors will receive a Discraft disc and DiscBaron SnapCap. Ams check in to get your players pack. First 45 that registered will receive an extra disc from Discraft! (All divisions)

here will be an ace pool ctp. If no one gets an ace the money will go to the person on that ctp (ace pool paid in only) CTPs for all divisions are free and will go out during the second round.
50/50 ctp will be all day all paid in. Ace Pool CTP stays out both rounds.
Ace Pool and 50/50 will be paid via PayPal.

Break will be 1 hour from the last card in. The two courses may start the 2nd round at different times depending on finish of 1st round.
Pros that cash can choose to receive cash payout or PayPal.
Amateur payouts will be issued by email in the form of a redeemable code to DiscBaron.com. There will not be any merchandise on site. Since this is a MDGO FE, payouts may only be redeemed in DISCRAFT PRODUCT ONLY. Ace Pool and 50/50 will be paid via PayPal.

MDGO Feature Event 18 Discraft Michigan Amateur State Championships Berths will be awarded to amateur divisions proportionally based on division sizes.

We want to thank all of you for coming to the 2020 Disc Baron Series: Discraft presents the AJ Open. We are glad you chose to compete at our event!

A big thanks to Adam Hillsamer, the members of Mason County Disc Golf Org., Jacob Stahl (DiscBaron.com), Discraft, Mason County Park, Bruce's Badass BBQ, Pere Marquette Expeditions, Zanfel Labs and Zuca Inc.

This message also sent to your email will serve as your player's meeting. There WILL NOT be an in person player’s meeting.


The event is full as of 7/17. As requested by the county parks board, the field size is capped at 96 players. That being said if you know someone who is thinking about coming and registering day of, that almost certainly isn't going to be a possibility.

As there is not going to be an in person player's meeting the first round will Tee at 900 am. A 2 minute warning will be sounded by air horn as will the tee off.

Amateurs can get their players pack between 745am and 830am.


The board will be set with hole assignments. I'm asking that one person from the card keep score for the round for the card you are on. Minimizing the number of touch points between players is important. I won't be assigning a person for each card to do this, so paper rock scissors, volunteer or however you'd like to decide. Everyone as always should check their score before the card is turned in. Once it's turned in, it is official.

Attention waitlisted players! 96 competitors is HARD CAP from the county parks board. We are thankful that they are allowing us to run the event and for your interest. That being said Saturday evening I will be refunding any remaining waitlist players. As you know this season has it's challenges and this is one that we have to follow in order to offer events.
