Great question Ben. The 25 is a bogie since qualified people have 1st dibs. We could get 40 who have already qualified sign up by then making the need for the LCQ a mute point. However, say the magic number is 10 but 25 players register for the LCQ. The best scores would get in so yes, those who play early would need to hang out to see how the afternoon unfolds.

Thanks guys. I was using 25 as an arbitrary number. So the 68 or better part would only come in play (say there is only 10 spots available) if less than 10 people scored better than 69 (which probably won't come into play)

Not entirely sure if this is what you mean or not but maybe this example will clear it up. Say we have 30 players and 10 spots remain, none shoot a qualifuing score. Nobody gets in, not the 10 best scores.
