The Nickel City Open - Presented by Twin Stacks

Welcome back to Twin Stacks; and this time, in beautiful summer weather on the Labour Day Long Weekend! We will have $4000 in added cash for pros and a minimum of $1000 in added value for all players; raising the bar for high level disc golf competition in Ontario!

There will be an AMATEUR ONLY ACE BOUNTY separate from the regular ace pot! Up for grabs will be a Prodigy Apex XL bag and some other goodies. If it is not hit, it will go to the raffle!

Be in the first 100 registrations and be entered into a draw to win $500 cash courtesy of our generous sponsors! The tournament must reach a minimum of 80 participants for this be paid out; otherwise it will be included in a separate ACE BOUNTY for all divisions!

This event will be a 2 round 2 day event hosted at the beautiful Twin Stacks Golf Course in Coniston, Ontario. We have heard your feedback from the 2025 event and have implemented numerous changes to ensure the event will be even better! Wooded fairways have seen some thinning and the ceilings will be raised. Our island greens have seen some improvements and will be less punishing. Several other course modifications are underway will be shared shortly.

We are pleased to announce that the Nickel City Open will be the final Ontario Tour Stop in 2026. The top 3 finishers in each eligible division will earn their spot to the Ontario Provincial Championships!
Players are required to be ODSA-current prior to the beginning of the event in order to qualify.

The event is currently planned to run with tee times to accommodate a larger capacity. However, depending on numbers, a Shotgun start may be utilized if the entire field can be fit on the course.*

We are excited to announce that the Nickel City Open will be an NADGT Canada qualifying event! All amateur players will find an NADGT item in their players pack and will be competing for spots in the NADGT National Championships in Austin, TX for both 2026 and 2027. Also, all amateur players will receive an invitation to participate in the 2027 NADGT Canada National Championships.

Layouts for the tournament will be as follows:
Black: MPO
Blue: FPO, MP40, MP50, MA1
Red: All other divisions
Tournament specific layouts can be found on UDisc closer to the event date. Layouts and more information will also be shared in the caddy book/virtual player meeting/player emails.

There will be a Pasta Dinner and Player Social on Saturday September 5 at approx 7/730pm. The sauce is second to none and there will be plenty! More info to come. The cost is $20 and is available as an add on at registration. There is also the option for non players to participate in the dinner.

Division caps will be lifted after 48 hours and any waitlisted positions will be filled on first come first served basis. After such a point, players may be promoted based on divisional needs in order to fill cards.
We encourage anyone who wants to participate to join the waitlist and we will do our best to fit you in.

Pass-through fees:
$40 Green Fees ($20 per round to close golf for the weekend)
$4 PDGA Per-Player Fee
$3 ODSA Tour Fee
$3 TD Fee
These are deducted from your gross entry fee

Anyone promoted from the waitlist has 72 hours to pay for the spot or players may sacrifice their spot.
