MATCH MADNESS
The matches will begin the first week of June 2025 [June 1st-June 7th]. There will be 2 divisions and 2 brackets. Brackets will be based on a means of PDGA ratings. The divisions will be decided after registration closes, with an expected threshold of +/-900. Ladies' divisions is a possibility given there is enough to make up a division. Once the divisions are divided up, some players may receive a bye week, other players will be required to contact their competitor and play a designated course during the calendar week. Each calendar week equals a round, therefore the number of levels in the bracket, will determine the number of weeks this series will last.
Scores must be reported to me by Saturday night, making brackets fresh for Sunday so everyone has an entire week to plan accordingly.
Each bracket will be double elimination and there will be a championship for both brackets. As well as a hard tiebreaker between the winner of the double elimination bracket, and the loser of the main bracket.
-$30 entry fee, I am hoping to purchase trophies for divisions so they can be passed around year in year out.
-if player fails to report score by Sunday night, there will be a coin flip for the winner
-I understand scheduling can be difficult so there will be buffers allotted, however repeat offenders will be disqualified.
-if player fails to meet for match they will be disqualified from the bracket
-inclement weather may cause delays, as that is out of our control but high winds is not inclement weather.
-each week will be played at a designated course, possibly varying by division.
-each round must be done outside of leagues and PDGA sanctioned events and layouts will be provided per course.
