Rock’n’River & PangFan Resort is a gorgeous resort and campground located in the lush mountains of Chiang Mai province. The property boasts 100 rai of well-maintained forest alongside the Mae Kuang River. There are riverside beaches, a waterfront restaurant, lounge areas, luxury bungalows, ATV’s and now… the AMAZING Rock N’ River Disc Golf Course (RnRDG)!
The is a multi-use property amongst which Disc Golf will coexist with other recreational activities. The course will be subject to closure at times so please check the Chiang Mai Disc Golf Facebook group andor contact course manager Danny Diaz before heading out to play.
Through a symbiotic and amiable partnership with the property owners, RnRDG has the potential to be a very special place for disc golf. Future plans include having a fully trained caddies, tee signs, equipment rentals and more! There will even be scannable QR codes which will link players to disc golf video guides, beginner friendly disc golf tips, course maps and other useful information to help players enjoy the experience!
Course Information:
The course is huge with over 60 rai of land! There will typically be one Tee Pad per hole with adjusted pars to match any level of skill. Players can view course maps on the UDisc APP. Course designer Danny Diaz is modeling the layout from many different influences with the main inspiration being his home course of Santa Cruz, DeLaveaga Disc Golf Course.
The Front 9 will be more focused on beginner and intermediate level players, but will still be fun for more advanced players! Holes will range from 55 meters to 110 meters. There are lots of elevation changes and a wide variety of landscapes. It is so gorgeous that even bogey’s will be fun!
The Back 9 is geared towards pro’s and will be VERY DIFFICULT! Holes will range from 90 meters to over 200 meters and will feature a variety of long and technical shots. There will be water, cliffs, mandos, huge elevation changes, guarded greens and lots of distance! This section of the course is still under construction, but be warned, it will fully challenge players in both body and mind!
All 18 holes will have at least three different pin positions! Six pin positions will change each month so that players will have a different experience every time they play the course. These monthly changes will be updated every month on the UDisc APP.
RnRDG will have three 18-hole layout options! Beginner and intermediate players can play the Front 9 twice. Advanced players can either play the back 9 twice or play all 18 holes to get the full RnRDG experience!
Thank you so much to everyone who is helping to make this new project happen and we can’t wait to see you out on the course!
