The FLY OFF COURSE Open course was designed and installed by Populace and the NYC Disc Golf Association (NYCDGA) in June 2026 as a one-day temporary installation on Governors Island. The layout was conceived as part of the FLY OFF COURSE Open, an event created to introduce New Yorkers to disc golf in one of the most iconic settings in the city. NYCDGA, which installed New York City's first permanent disc golf course at Highland Park in Queens in 2024, partnered with Populace to bring the sport to Governors Island for the first time. The course does not exist before or after June 13, 2026.
