Visited October of 2020. No parking lot that I am aware of, but you can park on streets surrounding this park. I had trouble finding tee pads and signs. While checking this course out, I realized the 2 damp towels and 2 dry towels I was carrying wouldn't be enough to deal with all the goose crap in this field, so I never bothered to throw a disc on my first visit. Still had to clean my shoes with my towels before I could get in the car to leave. I may try again in the winter when the geese are gone, but I can't see myself enjoying this course between March and December.

Love this course and have to thank it for helping me with gaining distance to my tee shots. Mostly open but also has some challenging holes. Hole 3 has a narrow path out of the woods with dog leg left that will mess with you if you don’t go straight off the tee. Hole hole 5 and 16 are tucked in the woods and take a good tee shot to set up success to have a shot at par or birdie. Hole 6 gets me every time as I still have issues with dog leg right holes and hole 9 even though it’s easy will get in your head as you drive over the pond and need to stay left to stay dry. Over all this is my second favorite course to play in the area and really is nice and open in the back 9. Nice course to play and really don’t have to worry about loosing a disc although it is possible

Played here as a afternoon getaway from the in-laws and outlaws,Thanksgiving in Elgin, Illinois. Course was a little wet from a previous storm.

Pros: 1) Nice kiosk at the first tee for announcements and league info and such.
2) Tee signs say Hole # Par and Distance.
3) Nice use of the pond for 3 holes. It is in play on every shot and in different ways. One hole it runs along the fairway, one hole you have to simply throw over it about 100', and then 3rd hole you need a decent carry and could actually throw 200' over the water and let it cut back to the basket if you have the guts.
4) Nice use of distance variation as part of the design. There is a huge variety between the shortest and the longest hole with a nice mix of distances in between.
5) There is a really good amount of variety on this course. Some rolling hills, some tight woods, some open holes, some water in play, some minor to moderate elevation change.
6) Discatchers are highly visible.
7) If you are a person that can throw (over 300 ft drives) consistently straight, you will score well here.

Cons: 1) This course lacks in obstacles unfortunately because it would be a great course if there were simply more trees planted.
2) There might be a couple spots where danger is a factor. #8 tee is right where a long drive or short second shot on #7 might tail off to. #6 is a hard 90 degree dogleg that if the shot isn't executed well could end up near #5 basket. #2 throws right into the opening in the woods where people exit from #16 basket.
3) The walk path comes into play on a few shots also, so non-disc golfers will interact with the disc golfers which can always lead to issues, especially since most non-disc golfers do not understand what it is we are doing.
4) Natural tees are in rough shape in all spots. They are rutted out and uneven. Put concrete on this course and it would be a huge step up since it is also a longer course.
5) Discatchers are in poor shape.
6) Might want to shower after playing here, more goose and dog poop on the ground, than the law should allow.
7) If it is busy, only place to park is on the street.
8) No place to hide from the wind. Could be brutal for anyone. Hello over stable discs!!

Other Thoughts: All in all this is an average course with the potential to be great with some added trees and obstacles. There are enough fun holes here to keep this course on the average side of things, but the addition of more trees forcing more line shaping will elevate this course to above average since it already has the length, some moderately tight woods, elevation, water, etc. It has the start of a great course it just lacks the obstacles to throw around.

One of the best courses around! This course is great for beginner and intermediate players. I would have given this course an A plus if it was not for the fast the people decided to have their picnics like a foot a way from the basket. Perfect combination of a few water holes, forest holes, hill hole, shorter holes, and a few 500 foot par fours.
