One could argue that only five holes does not constitute a full course, but that aside, there is a nice little woods on the Rec center property; it is not used. All the baskets are placed around the two large baseball fields in the open spaces behind the outfields. Pros: Wide open spaces and nobody else on the course allows for plenty of practice shots and drives - but do not play if baseball games are going on - the baseball fields are likely landing spots for many drives. One could argue that only five holes does not constitute a full course, but that aside, there is a nice little woods on the Rec center property; it is not used. All the baskets are placed around the two large baseball fields in the open spaces behind the outfields.

Pros: Wide open spaces and nobody else on the course allows for plenty of practice shots and drives - but do not play if baseball games are going on - the baseball fields are likely landing spots for many drives. Do not worry about clearing the baseball fences as there are gaps to allow people to walk through.

Cons: 5 holes - really this course only makes sense for neighbors of the rec center or Saline citizens who are looking to practice. No real obstacles, though if you play with the baseball fields as OB, holes 2 and 3 would be challenging. There is absolutely no signage - I made my tees up by using the closest section of the concrete sidewalks that circle the park from the last hole. Also, there is no information inside on the holes either. Only basket 2 has a number on the basket. That number is in fact a 2. No personality; basically five practice tees in open spaces.

Other comments: Again, no signage, so I made the course up: Starting from the end of the main parking lot to hole 1 (all distances paced - +/- 5% error and are straight line distances) is 175 feet. From the sidewalk up the hill behind basket 1 to basket 2 is 360 feet. From the park's backside sidewalk behind basket 2 to basket 3 is 430 feet. Again, from the backside sidewalk to hole 4 is 240 feet. From the sidewalk behind hole 4 next to the tennis courts to hole 5 is 220 feet.
