Matthew Hull 23 - Regular tees, 9 holes "I didn't plan on playing @ Reserves Park but it was on the way home so these were cool-down rounds of sorts. As always, it was fun trying to Ace Run the various holes despite it getting increasingly cold."

Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Normally, I wouldn't be all that happy with a round like this but the cold changes everything and this was honestly a very good round! I went with my Megasoft Shield a bit more than usual and it hit some good lines on #6 and 7."

Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Despite the fact I probably played one too many rounds, I did manage to finish nicely with a superb Cottonwood Buzzz drive on #3 (I started on Hole #4). It was such a great line and I did honestly think that an Ace was possible. Alas, it went 20 ft. past the basket (but I did manage to make the putt...with the Buzzz nonetheless)."

Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "To celebrate the one year anniversary of my very first Ace in Ohio (XT Nova on Hole #7 @ Reserves Park), I decided to head out to Reserves for some fun. It was 35 degrees with a slight wind factor but I enjoyed myself nonetheless. I threw my XT Nova for the first time in ages and did okay actually. It hit a nice line on #1 and parked itself near the basket on #7. I just missed on #5 with that fun anhyzer line that I like to take (Sting) too. It was just wide!"

Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "I had a nice Champion Destroyer drive on #8!"

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Unbelievable... I threw my Falcon Servo *exactly* where I wanted it on #1, it faded, and it nailed the chains, bounced around a bit, and somehow slipped through. That's the second time now that my Falcon Servo has been ROBBED on #1. Maybe it's fitting too because as I type this, the Falcons are losing big to the Browns of all teams. The BROWNS. Wow... That wasn't all either because I actually went with my Dad's old G Star Valkyrie on #9 and it hit some chains! It was a light hit as it faded just a wee bit short but still...it was close."

Matthew Hull 23 - Regular tees, 9 holes "On a drizzly Friday afternoon, I decided to head to Reserves for a little "Ace hunting" and I happened across a gentleman by the name of Bill (or "Billy Boy" as his discs state) who is well-known in the area and is a really cool guy! So we played a couple of rounds together and had a great time despite the yucky/drizzly conditions. It definitely took me a round to warm up though! Lol..."

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Now that's more like it! Amazingly, I missed 15 ft. putts on BOTH #3 and #8 or this would have been a really solid 9 under round! But as it stands, it was still a good round. I came close to hitting the Ace line on #5 (Sting), #6 (Blue Bomber Buzzz), and #7 (Megasoft Shield) but everything landed a wee bit short."

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "I may not have snagged another Ace today but honestly, I was very pleased with my play! Even on an ultra short course like Reserves, being able to throw accurately in the wet conditions was a real plus."

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "What a wonderful evening of disc golf! According to the forecast, rainy days (and of course the loss of daylight savings time this weekend) are looming so I HAD to get outside tonight on a beautiful 68 degree evening! Like last night, my wife and son joined me for the fun (when my boy wasn't running around in the kids playground area) and I brought another assortment of discs. This time, I only allowed myself to bring discs of mine with 2 or fewer Aces. You have to mix things up to keep it interesting, right? Anyway, I brought my Blue Bomber Buzzz, and both Buzz vs. Roc discs (one extra Buzzz and one KC Pro Roc) among others. I threw my Lucid Enforcer like twice but the 10-12 mph winds really made it difficult (that disc is a favorite of mine but it is only 155 grams which makes it vulnerable in the wind). Anyway, I hit a short but nice line with my Trace on #8 and managed to make a nice putt with my Warden."

Matthew Hull 22 - Regular tees, 9 holes "I brought my Champion Katana tonight and it was really enjoyable to throw that disc again (hadn't thrown it too much lately). It really wants to hit the S-curve line on #8. I at least managed to snag a birdie there but I want MORE!"
-6
Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "My Blue Bomber Buzzz came oh-so-close on #9! It hit a sweet line but was simply elevated too high and it crashed into the top part of the basket. It felt smooth though. So close!"

Matthew Hull 21 - Regular tees, 9 holes "What a close call! I hit a juicy anhyzer line on #5 that is always fun to attempt and it simply hit the right side of the basket (bottom lip). It was SO close! My friend Chris and his two boys saw the throw too. I could have had some extra witnesses (I am sure that many people do not feel that my wife is a solid witness. They would be wrong though...ha, ha!)"

Matthew Hull 19 - Regular tees, 9 holes "There it is! An unlikely line with a disc I have hardly ever thrown with a wind factor that somehow didn't stop me from snagging an Ace...was how I managed to bag one today! Isn't that the way it goes? :) Just for the heck of it, I went with my "Buzz vs. Roc" KC Pro Roc and tried to hit a nice straight line on #1. Well, the throw got a nice turn like it usually does but then it surprised me with a strong fade at the end that landed right in the basket! No spit-outs, no phantom throw went through the chains (I have experienced this phenomenon a few times this month where I could SWEAR I had the Ace...only to watch my disc go seemingly through the chains)...just a nice, admittedly lucky Ace. Yes!! :) I wish I could have taken full advantage of this round by getting all deuces but I at least like the way I finished. My Champion Katana hit a really nice line on #8 (made the putt from the top of the hill there) and of course I gave the KC Pro Roc the nod on #9 and parked it. A great way to end the night that was!"

Matthew Hull 22 - Regular tees, 9 holes "I took an interesting approach to tonight's disc golf escapades. I brought mostly discs I have never (or RARELY) thrown and it made for quite the unique experience! A lot of them were beefy overstable drivers too such as my Prodigy D2 I won at the Queen City Ams or the new Champion Groove my friend Jon got me. In any case, it was quite fun and I feel like I know these discs at least somewhat better now. I learned that my Star Sidewinder has a lot of potential to hit some solid lines on the few long holes (#3 and #8) thanks to its weight and ability to glide even on a windy day."

Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "Despite throwing so many unknown or new discs, I still managed to come close to snagging an Ace a couple of times tonight! I hit a superb anhyzer line on #5 with both my Star Sidewinder and "Buzz vs. Roc" KC Pro Roc in this round and the next one respectively and my Judge hit a very Warden-like line on #7. Speaking of which, I like the Judge! I probably prefer the beadless Warden overall but the Judge is a solid putter as well. I went with the Judge tonight since my quest was to throw only my "unknown" discs."
-7
Matthew Hull 20 - Regular tees, 9 holes "What a round! If only I could have played #4 and #9 better, I could have finished at 9 under! My Star Sidewinder was solid on both #3 and #8 as it hits a really nice line with the right touch."

Matthew Hull 23 - Regular tees, 9 holes "The round itself was nothing extraordinary but a few of the throws were! I threw my Trace of Hearts on #3 for the first time (I THINK.) and it hit a very straight line before fading...right threw the chains! I honestly didn't think it hit the line THAT well but it did and it absolutely should have been an Ace! What is with all this voodoo magic in October? I swear...I have had more spit-outs this month than the previous 20 years combined! I went with the Trace on #4 as well and, while this throw didn't hit chains, it was close enough to where it created a brief shadow on the chains which tells me it was CLOSE. Unfortunately, by narrowly missing aces (and getting royally screwed on #3 in particular), I couldn't save my birdie putt opportunities."
