This is the true "Country Club" of DG. Paulie's pad is super plush with tons of great tee shots and lots of very difficult approaches. Make sure to bring a floppy putter as elevated pins are abound. Playing this course and Bucksnort were a thrill. They're both managed (and were created) by the same guy, but they're totally unique. Phantom Falls has lots of fun elevation change, and some very technical shots.

Such a fun, unique course to play. This isn't your typical course made for the mass public. This was course laid out by Paulie for him and his friends to enjoy . Thankfully he's opened it up for others to enjoy the way its supposed to be played with a small group of friends and loved ones. The course is designed for a full day adventure. The holes loupe back to the house every 6 -9 holes where you can take a break, drink a cold one or cook up a steak. A benefit of having the course to yourselves.

The course is laid out well for the amount of property he has. There a benches on every pad and the course signs are marked well. It can look confusing at times with so many baskets but if you follow the caddy card and listen to the walk thru you will be fine. This course is quite a hike when all is said and done. Be prepared with food and water you'll be fine. Remember you will be back by your cars and the facilities quite often.

The holes are shorter for the most part but are technical and down right fun. If you're a more advanced player you will play MOST holes with mids and putters but there are a few big holes as well so don't leave all your drivers at home. You will probably have some chain runs I hit chains on 5 (up hill with a small double mando) and aced hole 8. Have fun and and enjoy it the way it was meant to be played.

I'd give it an A+ with cement T pads other wise a strong A due to the fun factor. If you come to play this course also play Bucksnort right next to Phantom you wont be sorry you did trust me. There is plenty of free camping within 10 miles past Phantom and Bucksnort also Beaver Ranch is close by as well.

This is TECHNICAL!!! Yes you will use your mid ranges and putters a lot but NO do not leave your drivers at home the uphill shots and hard left and right shots need drivers. Better be in shape!

I'm a big fan fan of mountain courses and this one is by far at the top. Paul is a great host and makes sure the layout of the BIG course is known and if your lucky he'll even join you for a few holes ... show more ›

I'm a big fan fan of mountain courses and this one is by far at the top. Paul is a great host and makes sure the layout of the BIG course is known and if your lucky he'll even join you for a few holes and show you some great local lines. You can easily loose a full day up there and leave wanting more even though the "darkside" may make your body beg to differ. Will be back as soon as I can!

This course was probably the one of the most gorgeous settings for a course i have ever seen! I played first tag match of 2012 (Foothills Flyers) on a 30 hole layout normally a 36 hole layout and was floored by how amazing this course is. Pine baskets,Wind chime baskets and even a 9 hole mini course. There is really no way to do this course justice in writing just get up there and play it!

Great course! Plays on the side of a mountain so tons of elevation changes. Really makes you think about every shot and what could happen if it catches an edge... but it was completely unpredictable. You play to a couple of the baskets a couple times which gave you different looks at good pin positions. Course was extremely clean and well taken care of. The aspen basket was very cool. Pro shop on the property and you could buy lunch there also.

Only things that I would change is to have at least one hole that you can really open up your arm. And on some of the shorter downhill holes, the tees had logs on the front of them which stopped the possibility of a jump putt... weird to think about jump putts off the box but it would have been the best shot for me.

Don't miss this one, it is one of the very best in CO. If you play both Phantom Falls DGC, and Beaver Ranch DGC in one day it's called the dirty 50 and will be one of the most epic DG days of your life. Phantom Falls has a pro-shop, optional lunch at the turn, snack shop, and coming this year in 2011 the course will have a 9 hole mini course, and 36 total holes. The mini course, and the last four holes are currerntly in development. This course is a pay-to-play facility, and it's more of an "event" BC it takes around 4.5 hours to play. Bring a camera, sunscreen, lots of H2O, $ for the AWESOME high end pro-shop, your best hiking boots, a sence of adventure, and your A game. Have fun, I know you will.
