Located in Sun Valley Regional Park, Sun Valley NV approx 5 miles north of Reno. The main course is three 9-hole loops (Lower, Middle and Upper) starting and ending at the park facility which has restrooms and shade structures (water fountains turned off in winter). The terrain is sandy high desert with juniper trees up to 30' tall, granite outcroppings, and dry washes on a rough south-facing hillside covered in native sage, brush, and cactus. With several dynamic elevations changes, the course favors long controlled tee and up shots in fairly open landscape. Junipers, which are quite thick with low branches, are prominently used as guardians near baskets and near tee pads to shape drives. Please protect the course. Be careful with fire. Don't break tree branches. Take relief from sage and brush (place mark directly on the line of play behind the brush. Watch out for delicate cactus. Take trails when possible. Do not litter. less

All holes are between 150 to 200 feet in length.
