Great course, the variation of the holes makes the game more interesting. The back 18 is more challenging but more secluded, great for not being bothered if you’re the type like me not having to worry about knocking someone on the head or a little brat run off with you discs.

La Mirada is a beautifully manicured course. There are a variety of shots to be had here, and they are mixed from long to short to long, and back to short. Trees, water, right, left, any angle you could imagine with tons of pin positions that change every other week.

Very fun interesting park here. Actually two course the "front and the back. Both 18 with multiple pin placements. Not sure why DG scene layouts have long tee etc.. maybe for tourny's. HUGE park with TONS of visitors enjoying all different types of attractions.
As for the course thi s review is for the Front. Very hilly, the long pin positions are quite challenging, You have to deal with road ob's all over the place and a large pond in the middle that only comes into play on a handful of h ...

This is really two courses, front 18 (Lakeside) and back 18. There were a few places where navigation was tough, but after a few I jumped on with some locals who guided me through. Lots of open shots, but some well placed trees interfered with a really good score - I'd probably play this one well after a few practice rounds. Very well maintained course with a part all around it. Good baskets and friendly people, definitely a course almost anyone would rate in the A range. Worth the effort if you are any where near!

Very beautiful course. Awesome locals that were very helpful in navigating the course. Very well groomed baskets and pads in great shape. This course offered a good challenge with holes that made me throw all kinds of shots and use many different discs. I had a great time!

Great mixed use park course. And with 2 18s it's very challenging to the stamina. The back 18 has a couple of holes that bring streets and parking lots into play. A little unnerving to duffers like myself. The course is very maintained and some nice elevations. I'd play this every day if I lived near by.

I see why people suggest this course. Great layout with lots of room. Lefts, rights, long tees = room to roam. Concrete pads or tee off on a few sidewalks. Could use a few more trash cans around the course. There there is pro shop on site, too. There are multiple places for them to place the baskets. Can't wait to come back in October!

Great course. Cool pro shop. We were lucky to have the course alone.

A great day of disc golf. Rack up some birdies on the front, and then face the challenges of the back 18. Some very big holes out there, and the short ones aren't easy. A model for city parks to follow in establishing a course.

Beautiful park! I was visiting the area on a family vacation. So glad I took the time to play these courses. It amazed me that two top notch disc golf courses fit into this park. Yes the park is huge, but it still took a lot of creativity and strategic designing to fit two full fledged courses into this one park. Loved the elevation changes and tree obstacles. Had a blast! Only minor complaints: Some of the pads were a little slippery. Baskets on Lake 18 need to be numbered. Took me a while to find 10 on the Back 18. Pro shop needs to be stocked and needs souvenirs.

This is for the Lakeside Course: Course was in good shape with the exception of the first 3 holes and 18 green being SOAKED from sprinklers.

Best course I’ve ever played. Free. Iconic. Well mapped away from pedestrians. Two full courses. Pro shop on the premises. Not too crowded. Friendly golfers. Well lit. In a park, so little to no foliage. Challenging enough. Varied terrain. A putting practice basket. Just wonderful.

This course kicked my butt, the holes are high up on a hillside, they are extremely well placed for challenging drives & putts, if you have been on other courses before going here you'll change your mind about disc golf. This is the course you develop a bias for all of the other courses in California. This course was touted as the BEST course in all of California and after playing only 18 I could see why, I wish I could make it to all 36 holes but my body (asthma) due to the smog in so. cali. wa ...

This course is great, I love that there are 36 holes, between the two courses here you will find plenty of great and challenging holes. I would have given this course an A but I lost a disc in the lake once and that was my favorite disc back then.

I really liked the layout of this course, but I couldn't give it an A because: 1) Hole 1 had no sign, 2) about 17 of the baskets were not marked with their Hole #, and 3) Many of the holes had more than 1 "pin setting", but none of the signs told the golfer which setting was being used on any given day. If all of these things were fixed, I would probably give the course an A or A-. Nice elevation changes, nice obstacles, (trees), friendly and helpful locals.
