Regan Rice 76 - East, Long tees, 18 holes "disasterous 3rd rd at the glass blown open... threw my back out on hole 4 and played the rest of the rd in considerable pain. probably shldnt have continued, but I didn't want to quit. tough way to end my first national tour event. 833 rated round. overall, the GBO was a great experience (went w Jason Goetz)... met all the top pros in person and was amazing to watch them play up close. will never forget this experience..."

Jon Tveite 71 - East, Long tees, 18 holes "I had never tried this course, so although I'd already played three rounds, I had some daylight left and wanted to give it a shot. Beautiful layout-- but probably not the best choice for my fourth round of the day. It is just a monster, period, and for whatever reason, most of the baskets where as deep as they could be. The distance didn't bother me as much as I thought it would, however. The holes that really annoyed me were the ones where you have to be long and accurate to even have a CHANCE at making three or four. #13 comes to mind, where my drive was a little short and left me 200+ feet away from a narrow gap to the last 150' of the hole. I was also not happy about #18, where you have to place a long drive perfectly to have a chance at clearing the parking lot and getting close to the basket, which sits on a narrow island with thick brush and a creek behind it. I actually started on what is now #8, because that was #1 on the old map I was using. I wasn't throwing that well: a lot of early releases, a lot of tree trouble. Hit a tree early on a 550' hole, and you'll be lucky to make five. I lost my drive a little left on #12 and hit a tree, which knocked me back into the lake on the hole with the raised basket. On #1, I had a great drive only to find that there was a small barn between my disc and the basket. Jones East is really not made for people like me, who can't throw a disc 400' under normal circumstances. By the time I was ending on #6 and #7, the long, narrow, tree-ridden fairways just seemed sadistic. I saw a lot of very nice holes that I did not play very nicely. The combination of the length, my unfamiliarity with the course, and my fatigue made this a bit overwhelming. But I did like the course and would try it again."

Jon Tveite 54 - West, Long tees, 18 holes "I was in town overnight for a meeting that didn't start until 9:30 a.m., so I got up early and played a round at Jones West beforehand. There was a lot of dew and standing water, but the course was beautiful, otherwise, and almost completely unpopulated. I had a very steady round, mostly pars with a couple short birdie putts made, and a few longer ones missed (#4, #8, #10, #12). I got myself in trouble on #16 by driving directly into one of those big pines with thick, low limbs. Then on #17, I left it too far right and skipped over the road. This was the first of a slightly insane number of rounds in the day (72 holes: surely the most I've ever played in 14 hours)."
