One of the best courses I've ever played. This is the Beatles White Album of disc golf courses. Each hole is a revelation and influential.

Too bad youd have to play 5+ different courses around home to get the same experience as here...awesome course! Probably holding 2nd to flip city as my 1st fav

This is the best course I have played to date. Some of the holes have actual putting greens. Long and wooded holes with some open. Water also comes into play for several holes, but it's relatively easy to get your discs back. You will walk like 3.5 miles playing this course. Expect elevation changes as well. This course is strenuous and challenging, but very fun. They also have bonus holes A-F. Definitely make a trip to play this course.

Despite the high degree of difficulty, I actually enjoy this course a lot! Every single hole seems to have a difficult feel and in terms of sheer variety, you can't go wrong here. The greens are made of the same substance that you find in regular golf (mini-golf as well) which was a fun touch and the layout is quite impressive! A few holes could be marked a bit better but overall, I can see why Idlewild is one of the "Big 3" near Cincinnati. Definitely play this course if you are an Intermediate/Advanced player!

Beautifully designed course. Overall a bit more challenging than I was ready for. I have only been playing for about a year and it was definitely more course than I was ready for. It was very well maintained and the hole placements and landscaping were impeccable.

Fun long course to the A pin position, we played 24 holes (19,3),(20,2),(21,5),(22,5),(23,3),(24,5). Pam made a beauty on the longest putt around the trees on the 1000 ft hole.

Wow. Tough, beautiful, very well maintained. Idlewild has everything. It would be criminal if the PDGA doesn't have a world championships in the near future using this course. I had not been here since the 2008 Bluegrass Open and I thought it was tough then - some of the pins were actually moved farther back! I cannot think of any negatives about this course - except that may not be good for beginners!

This course is the got to be one of the most amazing courses in the country. Based on most peoples ratings it is. Island greens, huge holes, multi pin placements, super technical holes Elevation. Truely Epic. . Any pro well come back drooling for more. Maybe not best suited for low leveled players. It should get a A+, I'm reserving that for the one only reason that I wass not able to play the course in its full entirety due to dozens of people fishing one of the ponds. I could not play the l ...

Amazing, couldn't possibly be better. Hardest pin placements I have ever played. Perfectly manicured fairways. Perfect tees which are massive. Maintenance of the course is unlike anything I have seen. It is like flip in its overall maintenance but it is at a different level because its not just mowing grass, its building dozens of bridges, gravel paths, walkways, benches, the best tee signs I've ever seen, posts along the creeks to prevent erosion/ maintain the land. The list is endless, the course is amazing and brutal in every way.

Absolutely beautiful course. Love the islandish greens surrounded by the shallow creek. Course usually well mowed, but was overgrown on some fairways and some holes hard to find.

Believe the hype! Incredible course with an insane amount of care and construction. The raised, masoned greens, walled creeks and bridges create an incredible feel, with amazing use of O.B. areas to add even more difficulty, i was almost happy to throw into the creek approaching 11, just to putt from the sweet drop zone over the creek

This course looks like it's in great shape, a few tough fairways but being a lefty I loved it. Also I got lost a little bit on a few holes especially the sign for hole 5 was a little deceiving. Luckily I met up with a local and he set me straight and introduced me to Lincoln Ridge later

Don't ever pass this up! One of the best courses I have played if not the best. Absolutely epic and has everything to offer. Definitely the hardest course too, I've encountered. Will challenge all shots.Long, wide grippy concrete tee boxes. Designed to perfection with multiple pin locations on... I believe all the holes, sometimes even 3! All pins were not in. Most were in the long position however there were a lot that had 2 pins in. Multiple tees (nice big tee signs), elevation, trash b ...

Well respected & justifiably so. Pack a lunch cause it’s as long of a course as you may ever play. It’s got everything from an Ace run to the 1,000 foot hole. Fred Salez designed this course and is in the Disc Golf Hall of Fame for course design. He also built up Mt. Airy Forest DGC across the river in Cincinnati.

The perfect combination between difficult and fun. A lot of shots require you to get lucky, but luck is so available on this hallowed ground. Amazing blend of long and short shots, the island greens were so much fun to play, and Hole 12 is the first 8 I've taken where I couldn't wait to play the hole again. Idlewild is something special.

recommend taking picture of course map at hole 1. hard to find some holes there as a first time player.
EDIT: I have now played this course at least 3 times (twice in a Nati Big 3 tourney) and as hard and challenging as this course is, has quickly become a favorite because of the challenge. My course review raised to an A. Can still be hard to find holes though if you have never played it before.
