Jon Tveite 61 - Long tees, 18 holes "This was a pretty crazy course, laid out on a ski hill, up and down incredibly steep slopes and under the lift poles and wires. It started out pretty easy, but soon got tough. Most of the holes were somewhat open, but some were extremely tight, like #6, which was close to 400' through a tunnel about 15-20' wide (I managed to par it thanks to a good drive and a long downhill putt). I was even par going into the final six holes, but they killed me, especially the monstrous #14, which was 545' straight up the steepest slope on the property--like Water Works on steroids. Climbing it was hard enough, without trying to throw a disc up it: I made a five and couldn't have hoped for much better. The last hole was amazing: a 710-footer straight down the slope, top to bottom. I had to throw all my drivers, of course. My first practice shot was the best, as I kept it low and gave it room to zig-zag about 550' down the hill. Though I wasn't counting that one, I threw a big hyzer from the spot--and it went in. So I birdied it on my second try, basically. Unfortunately, I was tired and distracted and made two dumb approaches after my first try, which led to a five and cost me a score under 60. I probably wasted 2-3 other stokes on that stretch of holes."Tuesday, June 25, 2013

My final hole Kapitan was up by a stroke, my drive landed by the basket and rolled 30 feet downhill. Kap layed up for par, I nailed the putt to have a playoff between 3 people. Jeremiah Jones 59 - Long tees, 18 holes "Played terrible plus weather conditions sucked, snow, wind, mud, cold, awful. No excuses though I missed 4 easy putts from 20 feet or less-missed to the left of chains. Lacked confidence like I have in the past and didn't execute-I didn't get to warm-up which didn't help my putting. I had one bad drive and one bad approach shot which cost me two strokes.
