This course is not officially open, but is still very playable. My rule of thumb is, if I see baskets, I'm playing that course. I'm not that patient, so I started hucking plastic in Anderson. I really liked the new Prodigy baskets, solid as a rock and borderline boat anchors. They caught really well, and stood out as they were a beautiful blue. Some elevation change with the levee, but the levee was dry. Good ole boys were drinking whiskey and rye. Rollaway putts are huge when you drive the Chevy to the levee. Very open grassy areas and some wooded holes with big beautiful mature trees. Nice benches on a couple of holes. Professionally done concrete tee pads (2 teepads per hole long and short) on each hole. Also different pin locations on each hole. Had fun at this course with some technical holes . Course didn't have tee signs nor a map, looks like a work in process. Course had good flow and was fairly easy to navigate and figure out. This is a very short course from the beginner tee pads(Putt Putt of disc golf) but I like that it would encourage newer players or kids to try the sport and actually enjoy it. Rec, Intermediate to Advanced players will score quite well here. For the pros it is a pitch and putt(Midrange and a putter). Course was full when I was out playing. I even put on a brief clinic for several who were watching me throw and they asked questions about the sport.
Bring your own water, no facilities. Also no restrooms, they need to rent a port-a -potty. Great job to all to help make this course a reality, nicely done. Look forward to a future trip, and see how a new course progresses. Reclaim the land, build a disc golf course!!
