All the longs are installed except on #16, but it has a short tee. Shorts are in on 1, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 15. Signs are up on longs. All fairways are clear. Help keep the course beat in by playing on it. It was played this weekend for the inaugural kanawha valley pdga regional tournament. Feedback indicated that people really liked the course. Still a lot of work to be done to include tamping down the re-grind in the tee boxes. Going to use a 200 lb tamper then add crush and run and tamp ... more

Holes 1-14 and 18 are cleared and ready for play. The extreme wet weather has prevented brush hogging from taking place on 15,16 and 17. Hopefully, we'll get that done next week. Materials for tee boxes were delivered today. We are going to forego concrete pads for now and use 6x6 treated lumber and re-grind asphalt. This is being done in preparation for the Inaugural Kanawha Valley PDGA Regional held on Aug. 15th. Temporary signs will be posted as well. Hole sponsorship's are b ... more

Holes 1-7 are cleared. 8-9 are have a good amount of brush on them so they may take some effort. 10-16 shouldn't take long to clear. 17-18 are pretty open already. All baskets are in and most tee boxes are marked, so the course is playable. Concrete tee boxes are on the horizon. Still seeking hole sponsors and groups that may want to help with a work party. Text me at 539-4451 if you would like more info or would like to help out.

I live in Ga now, but get back to WV when I can. St. Albans is my home town. Great to see a course in the park but I think it still needs some work. Keep up the good efforts. Great to have 5 courses in the valley.

When was this course opened? I know this year but is it currently playable or not till the tournament in august?
