Badlands at Camenisch Park is probably one of the best courses in Denver. It can be tricky to follow though, so it helps to have someone with you. Adams Hollow is also one of the best. It's a bit of a drive outside the city, but still close and worth it. If you want to play one of the best courses in the state (and the country) go to Beaver Ranch in Conifer. TOTALLY worth the drive

it can be confusing at first, but it's a good course. Ask someone there to point out the holes, or try and tag along with a group. The baskets move a lot so it takes a bit to get used to

Yeah Def was a little confusing but overall a nice course. Only thing missing on Hylands are cement teepads.

It has a little bit of everything on some decently challenging terrain, uphill/downhill, hyzer/anny and technical/open. If you can't get a local to throw with you definitely print out the aerial course map, couldn't imagine navigating it without one the first time. Also, I haven't been down there since the leaves fell but it's my guess that the Blair Witch 9 holes are unplayble/have great odds of losing a disc.

what about johnyy roberts, or the other course in arvada? and where is longmont if its not too far i could swing by and look at some plastic and talk some local dg with you.

Johnny Roberts is gone for now, I know they're re-doing it but I'm not sure what the plan is. Bird's Nest is not a course I'd go out of my way for, pretty boring and lots of brush and long grass to eat discs. Longmont is north about 45 minutes and does have a couple of smaller 9 ... more

Bird's Nest is not a course I'd go out of my way for, pretty boring and lots of brush and long grass to eat discs. Longmont is north about 45 minutes and does have a couple of smaller 9 hole courses. But honestly, if you have the time for that just turn around and go throw Conifer Park. It'll be roughly the same amount of drive time and it's my favorite course in CO (closely contested).

I don't have any experience with any of the many 9 hole courses that are down there but I've heard a lot of good things about East Interlocken. There is also Phantom Falls (close 2nd favorite) and Bucksnort (haven't yet played) in the same area as Conifer but they're p2p and you have to make a reservation. Yes to both. I think it's like a 3-5 bucks for the day and should be fairly busy on a day like tomorrow.

Yeah and it's NUTS. Would be my all time favorite, but it's tough to get a reservation sometimes and it is $20 for the day (which is totally worth it, I've paid it many times). But the owner Paulie is an awesome guy and loves trying to get out of towners on his courses.
