Wooded course, fairways on the narrow side but light brush makes discs reasonably easy to find. Outstanding signage on the course, with each hole laid out in four color format and pointers to the next hole. On the shorter side, with nothing longer than 350 feet. What makes the course interesting are the basket placements.

1985 Old school course! Great fun! Thanks to Matt and Dave for showing me around tonight!

Pros: + Blendon Woods is one of the oldest courses in the state at a whopping 36 years old! Back in 85' this was probably one of the toughest courses anywhere because the disc technology isn't even close to what it is today. When you're playing, it's fun to think of the guys back in the 80s that we're throwing frisbees that went the distance of Wham-O Discs. Now, in 2021, the former difficult course is now a putt putt course for Columbus area disc golfers.

+ Blendon is a perfect place to hang out and throw with friends, no matter what their skill level is. It's really popular with the locals, as the parking lot was full on a soggy Friday evening. Really cool to see groups go out in the rain and just have a good time.

+ While all holes are under 300' and in the woods, there's decent variety to keep things interesting. Every hole has an intrigue of hitting an ace, but being over excited could put you in a tough spot to save par.

+ Great signage and concrete tee pads. The area is dedicated to disc golf and has a practice basket next to the first tee.

+ These heavily wooded courses can be a pain to keep up with, especially in the summer months. It's maintained phenomenally and looks great!

+ Navigation is probably the easiest I've seen in a while, even for a first timer with no knowledge of the course.

Cons: - Every Hole is under 300' so don't come here for a challenge. Like I said earlier, it's like a mini golf course where you go out with 2 Discs and just toss with friends.

Not a big fan of the asphalt greens. This has potential to eat your discs, or scar them at best.

- It was packed when I played, and the weather wasn't all that great. You'll end up having to wait for at least one group if you go out in the evening.

- Pars on the tee signs are very generous, I think most people should play every hole as a par 3.
Other Thoughts:

Blendon is just a fun place to throw. Get a couple friends and go on an ace run adventure through the woods!

There is some issue with the amount of par 4's here - maybe only one or two should be counted as a 4. Bring your non green or clear discs as long as the trees are leafy!

Perfect course for lefty's or a right hand forehand, over half of the holes have shots that curve to the right. Well groomed course. The asphalt greens around the basket gives it quite a bit of challenge.

Great Course for Beginners and great place if you would like to work on your upshots/accuracy! It's a great teaching course if you're trying to introduce someone to the game. It is the closest thing to a Par 2 course out there that's an established 18 hole course. Not challenging for experienced players, but a fun pitch and putt. It's a well maintained course, but there are no puppies allowed and there is a "required" donation. Nice cement tee pads, but has weird 10 ft asphalt greens that frustrate beginners who have good shots that skip away. Good players should shoot 12 to 18 under par and need only bring a mid-range and/or putter. Also, if from out-of-town and looking for a memory one might want to consider that it's just a few minutes from the Brent Hambrick course.

I was driving home after an appointment and decided to stop and play a round. I ended up playing 4 rounds. There was lots of opportunities for heizers. It's a beautiful course. Speaking from the point of view of an amateur, this course is the best. I hope I have to run more appointments in Columbus--lol.

Best beginner course I've ever seen ! NOTE TO ALL ; blacktop greens is a BAD idea ( almost ace, then skip 40' ). Although paying to play really sucks, this is like putt-putt for the experienced disc golfer (like candy). It is a really fun time just to work on dexterity , ace runs & mid range long shots.

I didn't mind paying the small fee to play. It's a fun course that gave me the chance to practice some mid range shots. I took my 3 boys along with me (6,8,10 years old) and they had a blast with all the "Ace" runs that they were able to throw. Nobody was sitting in the booth, so I'm not sure were the "Pro shop" was located?

The cost is $1.50 for a round or $4.50 for the day. This course is worth the trip and the small fee. They also have a tiny little store if you need to rent discs.

I pulled a driver out of the bag on maybe 4 holes. Midrange, fairway driver and putter is all you need. Pro shop with lots of discs is a plus. I'd take newbies there, but that's about it.
