Matthew Hull 84 - Tournament Setting (24 holes), 24 holes "This and my second post were the two rounds from the Gem City Tournament #9! Despite the fierce wind factor (15-25 mph throughout both rounds), I did my very best and I feel pretty good about the way I played. Obviously, my 8 on #7 was a killer (landed OB plus the basket was at the top of a hill that goes straight down into the street...the wind made putting darn near impossible) but I did manage to snag a couple of birdies on #1 and #18 (my "Pikachu Hyzer Bomb" Pro Boss and Champion Katana came through for me respectively). I threw a heavy dose of those two discs plus my Mayhem. The wind simply killed what I wanted to do as far as my mids and putters go (the Reko and Shield were solid for the most part but otherwise...) but I did my very best. That's all you can do, right? My kingdom for a tournament setting with NO weather factors (I have now played in tournaments that involve super cold conditions, a deluge/monsoon setting, and now near tornado conditions...what gives?!)"

Matthew Hull 85 - Tournament Setting (24 holes), 24 holes "Once again, I see my score and shake my head because, for the most part, I actually felt pretty good about this round! Those three 5's and one 6 really hurt me here though. I did manage to have a superb Orion throw on #6 (my lone birdie of the round) and my Champion Katana did what it needed to do to give me a chance. Unfortunately, I found myself laying up even when a mere 20-25 ft. from the basket due to the wind. I HATE laying up but sometimes, it's all you can do you know? Whatever the case, the group I played with during the second round was a really cool group of guys and we still had a good time. I am already looking forward to playing in another tournament real soon! I do love the setting...despite the wind being the true winner today. ;)"

Matthew Hull 62 - Long tees, 19 holes "This was only my second round at Belmont Park but I needed to tune up a bit for this coming Sunday's Gem City Tournament! :) My friend Mark and I played on a gorgeous day (60 degrees and sunny!) and, despite a nasty slit in my right index finger (the type of minor injury that can completely wreck your grip on a disc), I felt very good about today's round. I went with the true power grip throughout due to my finger being a pain (my normal form emphasizes accuracy over power) and my throws felt very, very good! The Champion Katana was steady, the Mayhem felt superb, and I tossed the Inertia and Roadrunner where applicable. My putting wasn't the best but it was MUCH better during a later round in the afternoon (which I will enter shortly). ;)"

Matthew Hull 62 - Long tees, 19 holes "Although the last several holes (particularly #16) left me with a sour taste in my mouth, I did enjoy myself and I had a very nice round overall! I threw my Inertia and Wave a ton this afternoon and, at least early on, my drives felt fantastic! It was overcast and drizzling throughout but thankfully, the rain wasn't a factor until very late. It sure was muddy though! One of my best drives had to be my Inertia toss on #8 (landed 20 ft. from the basket...I didn't even KNOW that the road was there...thank goodness I threw accurately!) along with my Blue Bomber Buzzz on #10 (3-4 ft. from the basket on the left side...almost aced it)."
