I just found out this course was only a couple minutes away from me. I was wondering if there is a league here for 2024?

Hopefully the owner contacts me

Found 2 discs today at around 1:45pm with no name nor number. The first one was leaning upright against the big tree in the center of the fairway of hole 8 and the second one was just past hole 8’s basket (in the roughage before the dropoff to hole 9’s fairway). Tell me the model and color of either and I’ll get them back to you.

Simple layout, great course for beginners and skilled alike. Holes 1-4 are straight forward and no real surprises just be wary of distances and hyzers. 5 and 9 can be tricky for beginners and I got lucky with an ace on 5 this summer.

On July 12, just after 8p, left a gray Zeus in C1 on hole 9. Throwing multiple discs and forgot to pick it up. Several people playing behind me. Would love the disc back. Initials and phone number are on the back.

Lost a trasher on hole #2 right of the 2nd tee. Would love to have it back. Bought it used and has the old owners name on it.

Overturned my aqua Tee Devil (Blizzard Champion plastic) from the hole #4 tee pad - landed in the thicket just in front and to the right of hole #5's short tee pad. Name and number on it. Please call!

Jeff, I’m with you on the pads, several stand still shots today. I’d be happy to salt some if thats allowed. Unrelated, I threw a stand still on long 8 today and blew it up off a skip, it didn’t stick of course, probably because of single chains. Possible to pop another set onto these, again I’d be happy to contribute in some way to make it happen.
Love it! Driftwood DG Club want to replace the baskets but they’ve got their hands full right now with Hawthorne. Nice Rip on 8!!!

Looking for a laid-back league? Want to meet some new players in the area? Do you have $5 to spare? Come join WL DGC this Sunday at 9 am for our first random doubles league round at Bay Court. We will be playing our 18-hole safari layout with four additional baskets. Can’t make it? No problem. Check out our league page on DG Scene for more upcoming rounds. Happy New Year!

Please, PLEASE stay off of snow-covered tee pads if you’re not willing to clear them completely. I’m happy to shovel when I’m there but I can do very little about ice that gets packed down. Much thanks and appreciation!!

Found a MVP fairway driver in the rough between 8's basket and 9's box. No ink. Tell me the mold and color and it's yours.

Have they taken the baskets out yet?

Lost a neon yellow Innova champion mamba on hole 4 yesterday, 07/02, but went over the short tee pad on hole 5 into the woods.

Call me cheap. Paying for a 9 hole course?
No one is really there to collect, so don't be scared away by the "fee."

Rescued a blue disc out of one of the pro pad #1 guardian trees about an hour ago. Name make/model and I'll get it back to you.

DISC GOLF IN WHITE LAKE, COMMERCE TWP, and WALLED LAKE!!!!
Attention disc golfers living in the White Lake, Commerce Twp, and Walled Lake areas...disc golf is coming to the Union Lake Golf Course!!! My friend and I have been talking with ownership and they have agreed to let us start a league on their grounds. However, there are limitations and specifics to be communicated.
If this is something you’d be interested in, please contact me at [email redacted] or hit me up on the Disc Golf Scene and I can provide further information.

To anyone following this thread, we decided to abort this project. The course is in really bad shape and when you're talking pay-to-play, it just didn't make good business sense to move ahead with the owners. They weren't willing to put any money towards disc golf.
They can hardly keep the gates to the park open, I don't think any local clubs utilize the course outside the occasional doubles event. Judging from the "League" tab on the course, a traveling singles league is playing it later this year but that appears to be it.
Damn that is a bummer! What do you mean by barely keep the gates open? Do they have listed hours but the gates remain closed to park?
The Park employees love closing as early as possible if it's slow or for whatever reason, and I've had multiple experiences where they hustle disc goflers off of the course so they can close the gates and leave.
Not cool at all and thanks for the heads up. It looks like a good course for the stuff I want to work on. I will check it out tomorrow for sure.
I spoke directly to parks and rec. They’re having a lot of difficulty in finding people to staff the park which is why the hours of operation has become much more limited. There is one staffer there that I’ve traded words with on one occasion, so I’m not surprised to hear that there might be some hostility towards disc golfers.
Thanks for the info Jeff. Just waiting on the damn mailman to bring me discs and then I am headed there. I will try to talk to someone and ask about the situation. Hell maybe I will even offer to work a couple nights a week since it is so close to me.
