Most of it is in an old planted pine tree farm, So, if you can throw straight between two rows of pines, you'll love this course. But there's also features that will challenge your ability to shape a shot. One great thing about this course is that it is a dedicated disc golf course. I have been many times and haven't seen one picnicker. There's no meandering of an asphalt trail through this course, so, if you see anyone else out here, there's a 99% chance they are a disc golfer too. Let me first say that this course has changed drastically over the last 6 months, so if you played it in the past and didn't like how rough it was and how many holes had no true defined lines, it's time to get back to the Pines. Lines have been cleared, pads have been poured, weeds and vines killed, and grass mowed down thanks to the huge effort from a very selfless group of stewards.

You step up to hole 1 and by all rights can assume you've started on the iconic hole for the course, but it just keeps getting better.

This is a mostly deep woods course that will challenge even the best golfers at every turn. Tight lines in both planted pine plantation rows and deep hardwoods settings will amplify your mistakes, but it is not poke and pray. You hit the line on this course and you will be rewarded. There are some true separator holes in these deep woods. A lot of thought and consideration has gone into the course and not one hole is a gimme birdie with the exception of holes 3 and 8 for many.

The pads play true to ratings and offer a challenge for all tiers. While this is not a course that will be fun for most bombers, there are a couple of holes that allow those with a distance fetish the chance to get ahead.

Hole 12 will blow you away. I would describe it, but I'd rather you see it yourself. This is not only the iconic hole for the Pines, it will soon be described as an iconic hole for the entire region.

The course is in fantastic shape and is still seeing aesthetic improvements on a daily basis. This is going to be an iconic course for the state of Georgia very very soon.

Tight wooded course meandering through a pine plantation. Main drawbacks are a lot of the drives (at least on the par 3s) feel pretty repetitive. Hard work went into the course, and it will get better though the design leaves a little to be desired. Several holes don't seem to have defined fairways too many random gaps making drives feel either very lucky or very unlucky. Hole 6 is. . . I'm not sure. Wayfinding wise- paths between holes could be improved to not lead players in front of next hole's tee area. This felt dangerous, especially for players playing course for first time.
