The original 1986 course with plenty of contemporary updates features a good mix of holes from open to wooded tunnels in a beautiful scenic setting. This is the one to play if you're visiting Anna Page for the first time. Every hole has red (novice/rec) and blue (advanced) baskets plus several holes have 2 tees as well. There really is something for everyone on this historic course. Bring a camera!

Alike the West course. Exceptionally long fairways lead to a lot of par 4's (at least for me). Obstacles are mostly a minimum on this side and you've got some neat hill shots over here. If it's rained lately you'll want to make sure you've got some old shoes on as a few of the holes get very muddy. Awesome course, easily one of the best I've played.

This is the best course in the mid west!!!!!! Easily the best in Illinois. I've been traveling across country playing as many courses as possible and Anna page park is on of the most complete courses I've ever played. The tee signs went above and beyond, it was a perfect mix of wooded and open holes, plenty of distance shots but fun technical shots as well, and how can you beat being able to choose from 3 different courses all with different difficulties. The scenery was prestine and I ended ...

Beautiful, challenging fairways through stands of mature oak and hickory trees with a couple of long open holes to really let it rip. White (intermediate) and blue (advanced) baskets on every hole lets you choose your poison here.

All holes with 2 baskets.
6 holes with 2 cement tees and two (3?) more in spring 2023.
Nice variety for my favorite course at park.
A few signs need updating.

Best course for beginner players. Placement of alternative baskets makes it challenging for advanced players as well. Great course to meet up with your buddies and enjoy the quiet and the beautifully cared for field.

This was our warmup course before playing the south course. Hilly and moderately wooded. We played the short positions so challenges were there but mostly minimal.

This course is by far the most popular for all levels. Multiple pads and/or pin placements on few holes that accommodate all skill levels. The new "no-mow" areas once again provide some character and difficulty. This would be the course I recommend to anyone travelling here to play.

East short is great for beginners or casual players but still offers a challenge to intermediate and above players that want to score well. The longs will challenge all levels. Great mix of wooded holes, blind shots and elevation changes to make this course as challenging as it is fun to play.

Probably my favorite of the three courses out here. The mature trees and long fairways make for a fun challenge that will bring you back to play.

Great course with newly designed "no mow" fairways that help define the course's character. Course plays longer than the East Course and does not provide the same challenge as the South. Benches, signage and tee pads are all excellent.
-  +2 votes  + Russ MorganWest › June 15, 2018
A
The length of West allows you to "air" out some drives but requires you to be precise with your upshots/field drives. I love the shaped fairways to resemble a links style golf course. (Don't like when I throw in the tall grass) There are still tunnel shots and wooded holes to contend with making this course challenging for all levels of play.

Very challenging course. As a first year player, my buddy decided to let this be my first taste out of my home course. This has a little bit of everything.. Tunnel shots through trees, Long field shots, even a Elevated basket. Even the short holes that seems like you were guaranteed an ace were very difficult as there was at least one sneaky tree. Very well put together, Very well groomed when we were there. Loved this course.

Was a fun, challenging course. Maintanenece/upkeep needs to b done. A few holes had no trace of a fairway. Some had partial clearing. Hoping to return in the fall when a lot of the overgrowth has died off.
-  +2 votes  + Amazing ScottSouth › March 19, 2023

The Brutal course. Tight fairway tunnels through woods and a couple of long open holes make this a must-try course. The overgrowth is being removed and new park management is heavily involved in course improvements. Cement tee pads coming soon-ish.

This course has come along way since we have installed it, however it still needs a lot of work. Luckily the Rockford Disc Golf Club is on top of the job and putting lots of work into it when the time allows. I expect it to make it into an A course in my opinion in the next 2 years. Especially with the active help the club is now receiving from the park district. It will still be a pro level course with lots of challenges.

Best course at the park and really like the turf tee pads. Recent personnel changes at the park district has put focus on all three courses. With the scope of the projects to eliminate the poison ivy and other invasive plants throughout the park these will make this South Course amazing to play. Casual players may prefer the East Course due to it's open design and flow, but the South Course is the challenge and will bring back the advanced players to play again and again. More benches, cleaning up underbrush and fairways will bump this course up where it needs to be.

The beginner course of the three located at Anna Page. A lot has been done by the local club in conjunction with the park district to make it work with the other users of the park. The biggest improvements have been the signs and the cleaning up of the scrub brush located around the course. This is something the park requires and helps make it easier to locate your disc when you do land in a grove of trees. It is a great course to play with enough variation to keep everyone interested without being to difficult for anyone wishing to learn how to play.

Even though I've had more "near-ace" occurrences on West, East is my favorite course at Anna Page. Oldest of the courses, it has maturity beyond compare in most of Illinois' disc golf courses. Well designed, supreme flow, nice mix of woods and open fairway, mixture of distance, and long and short options available on 10 of the holes. Rockford Disc Golf Club is very involved throughout Anna Page, but East just got new MVP baskets this year (2018) that are phenomenal! This course is beautiful. Som ...

Very nice park. Well kept good tee pads. I played two or the three courses here today and was very impressed with the area and Challenging lay out. Great course with some long distance, open fairways, and some moderately wooded fairways. The woods are not dense on this course and it has many old, oaks that give it a nice aesthetic. This is a fun course to play with just the right increase in challenge from playing the east course. It makes the perfect transition between the beginning East and tougher South course. The signs have helped with improving the feel of the course and just a little more work with some directions between holes and scrub brush maintenance will put the finishing touches on this gem.

I played this course for the first time at the CB3 2017, and went back again the next day for another round. Absolutely stunning with some beautiful lines through the trees, then out to some majestic long drives. It finishes with a few more shots in the tree's to make this one of my favorite courses. This course is the product of when a ball golf mindset meets a disc golf mindset, and it gels into something glorious. This was the last of the three courses in the park that we played, and our least favorite. That doesn't make it a bad course, on the contrary it's a great course..just different than the other two. East and West are far more 'open' with less inner-forest fairways and obstacles. Those courses feature distance fairways on just about every hole. There are some monster fairways on the South course but many of the holes feature fairways flanked with tree's and bushes that will devour your disc. ...

Technical and long. I think it's just the total distance being a bit short that this course is not a Gold course. Lots of wooded shots with an elevated basket and tough bootlegs. Occasional generous short holes, but make up for it in their technicality. I'd say more difficult than gold at Squaw Creek if you've played that in Round Lake. Hardest course at park. (Considered gold, but I think it is just short of gold).
Late fall through early spring are best time to play(no skeeters).
Astro turf tees need some work.
Cement tees waiting on dead tree removal. 2025 at current rate, but looking for way to be sooner.
There are changes planned to reach gold level(no timeline).
Some Blue tees and baskets are planned, but also no timeline. Spring 2023, the 4 longest holes should have shorter tees added.

By far the most challenging of the three courses. In the year that I've been going to this park, South has seen the most drastic changes in the ways of cleaning up fairways and paths that were off-putting at one point. One Pin position every hole! Wooded course, so only play if you want a challenge! Tee pads are good enough but concrete Tee pads soon! So many different shot shapes through out the whole course! Happy to have a wooded course like south to play after grinding east and west to challenge yourself with hitting lines and being accurate through the woods!

The most difficult of the 3 courses here but not lacking in fun or beauty. The south course eats it’s young and then asks for seconds. Be ready for precisely placed fairway hits and capitalize on any birdie chances you may come across. There’s so much more potential to this course and it’s come a long way, but it is riddled with downed trees and widow-makers that need to be removed and newer lines and placements would make this the best course in the park. I envision it as a world class par 60 but as of right now it plays true to a tough par 57.

Great 18-hole course with a good mix of open and wooded areas, as well as a working balance between straight, lefty, and righty shots. A mixture of powerful distance drives and efficient line shaping will make quick work of the course.

Signposts only help so much--few holes provide line of sight to the correct baskets, which can be confusing with the course layout placing some of them near each other. Some baskets are also unmarked for their respective tees. Those new to the course should spend some time walking the fairways to make sure they're aiming for the right basket.

don't write this one off lots of good shots and holes will test you more than what is described

As you come in it's on the right. Many open long holes with older pins, but still a well maintained park. With A & B pin placements Pro & Am cement tee pads & elevation changes trough-out. Be careful on one o' the back hole 15 a phone pole is right in the fairway W/ a basket on top, don't get it stuck up there! Put your # on all your discs, they will return it.

It isn't always obvious where the pin is. The diagrams of each hole help some, but with alternate holes and ambiguous diagrams, it can be a little confusing. Well-maintained!

Love this course too. Nice elevation changes. Good mix of slightly open and wooded holes. I’d highly recommend anyone taking a trip and playing all three. And then doing it again and again.

Easiest course at the park. Overall amazing condition thanks to many local volunteers, really fun to play through. Almost all the holes have either multiple tee pads or baskets. I highly recommend a round here your first time at the park.

This was my least favorite course of the 3. It was still a quality course just not much variety. The holes were all similar in feel, some up and down but mainly open with some mature trees in the fairways.

Park style course that plays up and down the rolling terrain. This course has more length and difficulty versus the East course. New MVP baskets and has benches and garbage cans throughout.

As you come in it's on the left, the new one. A mix of open & tight holes, cement pads, A ,B & C pin placements. New baskets & elevation changes through-out. The longest hole is 851 ft.

Great mix of wide open and heavily wooded fairways. Concrete tee pads all 18. Good amount of elevation change compared to East. Recently had all new baskets placed I believe. Perfect for really dialing in long drives in the woods. Difficulty is right in the middle between East and South.

Most challenging of the three courses and you will need your bag of tricks. Some recent redesign of holes 13,16,17 provide the use of the elevation changes on this course. Some course cleanup is needed to make this a spectacular course, but with the amount of trees and the scale of this park it has to be a tremendous amount of work to keep up on.

Definitely the longest and most difficult play between the three courses at Anna Page. 90% of the fairways are cleared well enough to hit some awesome lines through the trees. There are two holes that are 700+ feet that add to the challenge. Only thing is south doesnt have concrete pads and the current pads need some TLC. Overall great course if you want a real challenge.

Multiple pins and tees but overly confusing. Found myself guessing a lot as to which pin I was actually throwing at. I am sure once you play it a few times it's more natural but this was my least favorite of the 3.

This is the nicest looking course at Anna page. It's the oldest and most looked after. And like a lot of older courses, it has some shorter shots which makes it fun for all players. Some holes have been lengthened and some have multiple baskets. This course is usually the most congested. This course badly needs new baskets but overall a great beginner friendly course.

My favorite of the 3 courses do to the length and vacancy. Not as many people play the west course. If you're an advanced player coming from out of town, play this one first. It doesn't have the best baskets but it is a challenging course. Also, it has nice large teepads.

Lots of debris, dead trees, and poison ivy. Almost unplayable when the vegetation grows in. Fun to play late fall to early spring. Nicest baskets of the 3 courses. Highlight of this park is there's 3 courses on location so when this course is unplayable there's 2 more to play. This course has a long way to go to be concidered A+.
