2016 Ladies League Starts Today!!!
Ladies!!! It’s that time again!!! Today we start our fourth year of league! Can you even believe it!! We have a great crew of leaders this year that includes Michelle, Andre’a, Arletta, Sheena, and myself, and we’ve all been working hard to get this year started out smooth as butter! Ladies!!! It’s that time again!!! Today we start our fourth year of league! Can you even believe it!! We have a great crew of leaders this year that includes Michelle, Andre’a, Arletta, Sheena, and myself, and we’ve all been working hard to get this year started out smooth as butter! Here are the details to help us along our way:
Like last year, we'll be playing Lunchtime DGC and sign ups will be from 5:15 - 5:45 with the round starting at 6:00pm sharp. You know how much we love our donations, so if you have something you’d like to give, we will put it into the next week’s CTP prizes/future raffle, depending on your preference.
There are several new pieces to this year’s league. For one, there are new posted rules on the course, so if you’re out there practicing, be sure to check those out. We’ll also go over the new rules in our players’ meetings. One particular new rule is that we have to be out by ten. That’s like, out of the parking lot by ten! Considering our new time constraints, and the fact that baskets 4 and 5 have been removed for a portion of the season, we’ve decided to make this year’s league 13 holes for each of the 12 weeks. We’ll flow from hole 3 to hole 6, skipping holes 4 and 5. This will allow us to finish our tags and payouts and still be out of the parking lot by 10:00pm.
This year, we’ll be running CTPs just a little differently. We want to recognize and reward the new and still learning players with some definite CTP chances. So, we’ve restructured our CTP winnings. Each week you’ll sign up for a division for CTP. There will be an Advanced CTP pool for those of us who have been playing for a while, an Intermediate CTP pool for those of us who are still somewhat new, and a Junior CTP pool if there are any juniors present that night.
Speaking of Juniors! We have several young girls who want to participate in ladies league this year! If you are bringing your junior with you, she will play from the amateur tee pads. And Mom, even though you’ll be playing with your daughter, you’ll be throwing from the long tees. :)
