I think the tournament was AWESOME! Scott!! I even made my own trophy!!!!
As for the food....pack your own 'chute fellas, then you can not complain!

It has been known for over a decade in the Grand Rapids disc golf scene that any Ann Arbor tournament has really odd payouts. My uncle (of which im sure some of you know) stopped going to said tournaments years ago for this very reason. Oh and Mike, the old 5$ pizza at half time of a tournament is always garbage, what were you expecting, deep dish chicago style supreme pizza lol?

Mike or whoever you are. If you are really that hard up for the cash i will give the $45 I got for last cash to you. It's people like you that's stopping this sport from getting to the next level. If you are a so called pro start acting like one. Discgolf. Is not going to pay the bills. Ps tourney was great I could really care less if I get something or not.

I appreciate that fact that Mike, and apparently a lot of others, had concerns about Saturday. Its a shame that other people didn't feel like they could approach me with their concerns on how the event was run and hid behind Mike. I may have disagreed with how Mike went about expressing his feelings, but I am not trying to deny that Loco wasn't perfect. For ****s sake, we ran a 133 person B Tier with TWO people. It wasn't easy.

I personally spent close to 100 hours in creating artwork, logistical planning, throwing fundraisers, collecting sponsorships, getting the courses marked, pre regging people, running the event, etc etc etc. And I wouldn't have done any of it if I didn't love the sport of disc golf and the local community that makes this a great area to play.

Its just frustrating when you put so much into something and get few thanks and so much negative criticism. The 101 is all about throwing fun events. If you didn't have fun, then I failed and thats on me. If you did have a good time, then I am glad.

You pay attention now because you're cashing in higher spots not because you learned to watch how events paid out. It's as simple as that. If you want respect and big rewards for playing a sport well you picked the wrong one Mike. You will never get a big reward for throwing a disc into a basket. Accept that and you will be far better off. Also look at it this way, some guy takes last cash in open at loco but usually doesn't play that division. He now is more likely to play pro and donate more.m ... more

If you didn't live in the here and now and thought about future income you would see that having a few events pay deep into the field is a plus in the long run for players of you're caliber.

As far as respect goes, you don't deserve any foreign good at throwing a disc. None. You get respect by showing it amd acting like a ****ing adult. Beating a person who worked his ass of to give you the opportunity to play a meaningless sport for decent sums of cash is acting like a child. Act your age. You should.be thankful for people like 101 who support disc golf. They do things to promote the sport unlike someone I know. The southeast Michigan disc golf.scene would be the same without you but not without them. Show some respect to the people making disc golf possible and you will get respect in return. It's a fairly simple concept

I would understand and maybe be a little more tolerant if you guys were getting paid out like the PGA, and the top purse was $4.8 Million. But it's not, we don't play this sport to pay our mortgages, support our families and pay our insurance premiums. So crying and whining about a payout structure that isn't even going to cover filling your gas tank it ****ing stupid and counterproductive. These guys are giving players a pretty fair shot at winning a decent chunk of change, all while having a fun day bull****ting with local players & having a good 'ol time. Let me know when the Top Tier players are walking away from a 4 Day Tournament and making millions just from the purse. Oh, and let me know when the Pro DG players get that $1.2 Billion deal from Nike with their personal logo on every Nike disc, bag, shirt, shoe and hat. Until that day actually comes, this argument is moot. As for lunch....Be glad the 101 even provided a lunch for you. Next year, bring your own damn lunch. Do some work in he AM when get outta bed and make a few peanut-butter jelly sandwiches. Grab a banana, a Mt. Dew, and throw them into the old brown bag (yes, they still sell them at all local grocery stores).

On a more positive note......Saw the photos of all the garbage & cigarette butts that were collected. Very impressive guys!!!! Cheers to all the players that helped clean the course that day. I am serious, Chuck D looks great! I was very, very impressed with the condition of the course, the mini-bridges that were installed, and a major beef up in wood chips. With a tiny amount of man power, you guys sure did a phenomenal job cleaning up that course and besides this piddly grumbling, sounds like I missed a great tourney.
