IT specifically states in 3.04.D.3... No "Tee shirts" are allowed.. but "Crew neck or v-neck shirts made of high-performance or high-tech materials, such as Dry-Fit, Cool-Max, and others will be allowed."

They split ma2 off into ma3 pretty recently (because it got so huge) and haven't released the courses for ma3 yet.

The demand for FA3 simply just isn't there or wasn’t there. These guys have been working to meet demands. At first it was just MPO and MA2 but there were constantly 20+ people on the MA2 waitlist. This resulting in an MA3 division. I’m sure if the FA2 division were to see the same problems, it’d change. In no way was this discouraging woman, just meeting the demands absolutely necessary.

Exactly. This isn't about making it easier for men, just possible. Not adding ma3 would be discouraging for the men who are on the waitlist.

Many of the “MA2” guys are really MA3 guys that qualified by playing MA3. Many of them were willing to play up a division, just to be able to compete, MA3 was only opened due to an overwhelming amount of men playing.

We're so used to being pushed to the wayside that we don't even register, because why would we? Men can sign up, knowing accommodations will be made if enough players are waitlisted. The same cannot be said for women, and we're told to just "play up", so they don't even tegisyer... hence fewer players and lack of a waitlist... this is a sexist double standard. I will not stand by silently. DO BETTER TDs. MAKE THIS RIGHT.

The people in MA3 were in MA2 until the demand overwhelmed capacity. There was no MA3 until the MA3 players were willing to play up.

I'm usually in FA3, so I'm in the same boat as Adrianne. I signed up for FA2 with the knowledge that I'll probably finish in the bottom 15% of FA2 for this competition. The experience is the only thing keeping me signed up. It seems silly for me to lay down $200 knowing that I have absolutely no chance of cashing.

I'm not going to explain to someone WHY I qualify, because I won 2 NADGT events. That's that. But to search my profile to attempt to convince me I'm not qualified... shame on you. Sara and Beth, thank you for your courage to say something. I cannot believe women have been treated this way, and it feels like no matter how we explain it, no one will listen. @Adrianne, I've emailed tournament staff to see if adding FA3 is a plan they have. Looked like a good chunk of FA2 women are actually FA3

That’s such a terrible take when you say if there was a ma3 women will show up because that is entirely not true . 95 percent of the tournaments I play on which is a few a month they generally combine womens groups because they don’t have enough for 2-3 cards. Without looking at your past tournaments I’d guarantee you there hasn’t been even 10 am girls total .

Just because your wife is OK with being silent and doing what she is told by the boys, that's on her(shame on you and the other "men" who are being bullies rather than standing up for the women)... But she would have a much better time if the sport was more inclusive. You are hiding behind a keyboard while bullying women you don't even know, trying to say they are too scared or lazy to compete... They aren't scared or lazy... They simply don't want to spend a bunch of money on entry fees, travel and lodging for a tournament that isn't inclusive to them.. Its 2021 FFS and it should be a fairly easy adjustment to open the division for women who qualified for said division. 35 of the 60 rated female players currently in the FA2 division are FA3 players who are being forced to play up.

I think disc golf has more representation for women than any other sport other than tennis. I would be willing to bet over half of the MA2 division were really MA3 players who were being “forced” to play up also. Most of us were willing to do it just for the chance to compete.

Don't include me in whining about wanting another division. I want to play in intermediate and see what I can do. I just go in and play my heart out. A better example is of me: I have a 950 rating, qualified in MA2 before I was above 935, and now because of the 19 point cushion, I have to play against MA2 players with my 950 rating. Doesn't seem fair at all, I'd much rather move up to my appropriate division and play MA1/Open. I hope they fix this or lower the cushion to at least 10 points...945+ DEFINITELY shouldn't be in MA2.
