What does the field cut down to for the last day(how many players)? I didn't stand a chance of making the cut at MA2 but now there is an MA3, I could get lucky. But I already purchased my ticket for the flight home on Sunday. I looked in the handbook but couldn't find it. Also.. I've never played an A tier... does that require I wear a collared shirt to compete? Those are the only questions I have that people Might know the answers to. Thanks!

Idk. but I was hoping someone would clarify.

Jeremy Richards   September 27, 2021 at 4:18pm

IT specifically states in 3.04.D.3... No "Tee shirts" are allowed.. but "Crew neck or v-neck shirts made of high-performance or high-tech materials, such as Dry-Fit, Cool-Max, and others will be allowed."

Any Canadians to confirm the covid test procedures in and out of the country?

James DeBoice   September 22, 2021 at 5:05pm

Get it done at the airport need one going in and one coming back.

Kevin King   September 24, 2021 at 3:10pm

Emilie, you need to have a negative test in hand at the airport from within the last 2 days. Schedule a test for 3 days before your flight and you should be ok.

Quick question, when/where will the MA3 courses be posted?

Pretty sure Cat Hollow will be one of them, one of our TD's are going to be a CO Director at that course and its not on the original list?

Antonio Alvarado   September 23, 2021 at 8:06pm

I’m thinking of going up to practice this weekend. Any idea on the other courses?

Win Griffith    September 21, 2021 at 12:25pm

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you guys for putting all this work into this tournament! It's the chance of a lifetime to travel to compete (as an amateur) and I'm really thankful for the opportunity to do so. Also, y'all really don't have to accommodate for what everybody wants but it seems like you're going above and beyond to take care of everyone. So thanks for what you do!

Well said, Win!

Rachel Appel   September 22, 2021 at 12:32pm

Agreed! Thank you guys for making this possible!

Were do we find out what courses we are playing at?

Brett Tebbe   September 21, 2021 at 3:01am

Under the “More” tab look at the pictures option. Shows what pools belong to which division and what courses each pool plays. Pool assignments aren’t released yet.

Will Mercer   September 23, 2021 at 2:51pm

For ma 3?

Thomas Hapka   September 23, 2021 at 3:07pm

They split ma2 off into ma3 pretty recently (because it got so huge) and haven't released the courses for ma3 yet.

Daniel Jenkins    September 21, 2021 at 2:35am

Just an extra bug in your ear, I've withdrawn.
Dan Jenkins pdga#132038
I really don't remember registering. Perhaps it was an automatic thing?
I haven't been able to go since the get-go.
Thanks.

Why is there a MA3 but no FA3??? Can we please make this inclusive for female players? This is a perfect example of why women are discouraged from the sport.

@paulreum I'm not okay being silent, I was going to stay out of the petty argument. I don't do what I'm told by the boys, I play with the boys. I may not beat them or be close to winning but it has made me a much better player. I love playing against females who are better then me bec ... more

@paul lmao there is no talking down here it’s just the reality of the sport at the moment not saying it won’t change . Just look at every female division in just this tournament not one of them is full and it’s less than 100 per division . I’m a realist and I’m gonna sa ... more

Looks like there is an FA3 division now.

We would have sent something out or posted something here if it was cancelled

Can a MJ 12 player register in the MJ18 division?

Gregorie Handley    September 17, 2021 at 2:58pm

Now that more divisions are open, I suspect PDGA guidelines are going to be used for rating and divisions. The problem with allowing higher rated players to compete in lower divisions will cause problems and complaints for the PDGA. For example a 852 rated player loses MA2 division to a 913 rated player.

Adam Carlson   September 17, 2021 at 7:29pm

I agree, but, that is a bad example, a 852 rated player should be in MA3 most likely, but a 913 rated player is in the right place playing MA2. MA3 goes up to 900, MA2 goes up to 935. A better example is of me: I have a 950 rating, qualified in MA2 before I was above 935, and now because of the 19 p ... more

Gregorie Handley   September 18, 2021 at 10:17pm

There 900 plus players wanting to move down and play in MA3 due to 19 point rating cushion. This is something I was not sure the PDGA would allow as a sanctioned tournament.
