How playable is the course right now? The girl and I are heading down to go play Parmalee today. Might come play here depending on the conditions if anyone knows.

Hole 4 tee has been shifted right, did a bunch of clearing to open that out so that it can be looked at as an option for the tee. Also opened the gap into the fairway on 12. You can now play a drive off the tee with a reasonable expectation to get to the hole's fairway. Still a LOT of trees that need to come down to make the fairway itself less of a crap-shoot - but you can get to the fairway now.

Cleanup work was done on 11 this past weekend. Kasey and Blade put in good work and got it almost all the way there already, so mostly just a cleaning of the deeper tee area and the middle region of the hole by the choke point.

All told 1-11 are really playable now and it is time to tackle 12, 13, 14 in the coming weeks.

Last weekend I took care of hole 10. The hope is to put in some serious work on hole 11 soon and really clean it up. Within the next few weeks, ideally. The time to start work on holes 12/13/14 is growing nigh.

I drive past this course on my way to Toledo, a few times a month. Would love to stop and play. Are the tee pads marked? Is there a map or anything I can reference??

There are no concrete tee pads yet unfortunately but they are working on getting some put in soon. The tee pads are marked with pink flags for the time being. Great course though. Check out Black Swamp Disc Golf club on here, we are a club that helps improve our parks and community. We have a tournament coming up on the 15th at Ottawa where memberships will be available.

It is slowly being developed. Right now it would be very difficult to find your way through 12/13/14. Holes 1-11 are plausible. I usually walk straight out from 11 past 17's basket to 18's tee and play that 12 hole loop.

To get to hole 1's teepad: When you turn into the park go to the right when road splits and to the back of the parking lot. Walk down the 'access road'/trail to the right, you'll see the flags once you kinda get over the ridge to the left of the trail.

Last weekend a crew took care of clearing a good portion of the tall grass on hole 3. Today a crew took care of completely opening up the tall grass on 6. Hole 6 has been cleared and cleaned up and is nice enough for play now. Means that there are now no holes on the initial 11 + 18 that lack true fairway areas to play/walk.

Alterations in January (note nothing is final, but this is for making sense of how scores evolve through the spring as they are posted here on the scene - any significant changes to any holes should be posted here so everyone can see its evolution)

(All alterations done with full approval of Mark Kruse and Stephen Jefferson, and ideas have come from a variety of people in terms of sourcing, I'm just the guy that takes the good idea as soon as he hears it and makes sure it gets done befor ... more
