About this league

Fall 2014 league will be weekly random draw doubles. Two pools (Pool A and B) will be established based on handicap at the end of Summer 2014 league with individual points championships for each pool. Doubles will be decided on poker chip draws weekly.

Handicap of 4 (at the end of Summer 2014 league) and below will be in Pool A (Greasers). Handicap of 5 (at the end of Summer 2014 league) and above will be in Pool B (Socs). All scores will be scratch UNLESS Pool B has more players than Pool A for that week resulting in Pool B player will utilize their handicap plus 10%. Example: Pool B player with handicap of 16 will subtract 16 strokes and an additional 2 (16 X 10% is 1.6 rounded to 2) for a total of 18.

Formats will rotate weekly beginning with best shot, worst shot, alternate shot and best disc (best score).

Points will earned in the same format as Summer League 2014; one point for playing that week and one point for each team your score is lower than. Again, there are 2 division for this league, Greasers and Socs.

Best Shot rules:
On the tee: Partners each may throw a tee shot.
In the fairway: Partners choose the “best” drive between their two and both players throw their next shot from that lie. This process is repeated on every shot made by the team until holed out. REMEMBER: the “longest” shot is not always the “best” shot. Be sure to evaluate both lies before choosing.
On the Green: To be holed out, a player, from a legal stance, must release the disc so that it comes to rest supported by the basket or chains. Once one partner holes out, the hole is complete for the team. Score on the next tee, not on the green.

Worst Shot rules:
On the tee: Partners each may throw a tee shot.
In the fairway: The competing team/s in the group choose which of the subsequent lies will be used, with the aim of making the hole as difficult as possible.
On the Green: The hole is completed once both team members have holed out from the same lie.

Alternate Shot rules:
On the tee: The team selects a player to throw the tee shot at the beginning of the round.
In the fairway and on the green: The other player then throws from the subsequent lie, and play alternates in that fashion until the round is completed. If you miss a short putt, chances are good that you'll be driving the next hole.

Best disc (best score) rules:
Each player plays the hole as they would while playing singles; there are no shared lies. The team score is the best score on the hole by one of its players.
