Championship day is here! Greasers division is a close race between Joe, Chris and Tommy. Socs division could have a lead change as well. So how did the last random doubles day turn out?
It was a beautiful day for disc golf at Freedom Park. Others liked the weather outcome as well as there was a wedding being setup at the gazebo. As the nuptials ceremony was being set up, some of the holes had to be altered. The altered holes may make it into a future course redesign, just maybe.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call ... Windy Disc Golf Zone.

I think we can all agree that Worst Shot doubles was challenging and then having 14 mph winds on top of that was a test of patience. For all those that played yesterday, pat yourself on the back.
Pairings for this week were Mike & Tommy, Cassie & Pat And Staci & Joe. Chris, Aaron and Jim were Cali and had to throw 2 shots each time. Winning this week's league round was Chris followed by Aaron and Jim. Next were Mike/Tommy, Cassie/Pat and Staci/Joe. The format was so rough ...

The "China Lake Experience" is being planned for Oct. 23 on mirror lake on base (behind the Commissary). It will include a bonfire, food, drinks, games, etc. for all CL employees & families, military & civilian. I suggested disc golf as an activity & they are very interested. It could be a good way for us to interest more people in the sport. I'm thinking a 6 hole course in the rolling small hills along the dry lake, with prizes (I need to find out their budget) for best score in each age group. Ideas? Any interest?
