FYI:

This coming Saturday, the City of Euclid is hosting the third annual Wind Fest at Sims Park. We have been invited to participate. It runs from 4-9. I have a table for us. I am going to be there with a portable basket and discs, probably running a putting contest and handing out lists of local courses with a list of basic rules for playing. Anyone wanting to join me would be AWESOME!

After an awesome discussion with PK Deaner about a NEO Points Series, SPring Meltdown will be Event #1, Beauty and the Beast will be Event #2 and Flight of the Zeppelins will be Event #3. It would be awesome to be able to run this series through the NEO Open and have as many NEO stops as we can fit into it between #3 and then.

The shirts are not a problem, I have a huge stock of blank shirts and a tee shirt press in my basement, I will front the shirts and give 100% of the profits to NEO Alliance Fund for future DG endeavors.

PK came up with the idea to have a design contest for the Shirts and Tags. The same art work will be used for both pieces (assuming everyone is on board with both pieces for the series). We are still working on the details for the contest and the prize for the winner, but it will be sweet and we do want to get a design as soon as possible so I can have shirts ready by Meltdown on 4/19.

Disc golf friends, I am desperate need of help at Westbranch (The Grassman) 9 holes are installed but a little more cleaning up need done on the front.

The back 9 is where i need the most help. Over than past few months myself and a park worker have been cutting and trimming on the back 9 so we can get the baskets put in by the end of April. I need help clearing the fairways of all the trees and brush we have cut down. I will be going out on Saturday April 5th at 9am to work. Iâ€&t ... more

Inspired by the fact that everyone who ran an event in this years series was present to play in the rain in Hudson for the finals...just putting it out there- 2 things I'd like to see happen for next year... and if we are good we can do them on the same day. 1) Meeting to discuss plans for next years series. 2) NEODGAlliance fantasy football league draft party. So think about what you would like to see for the series next year, and gather your fantasy football cheat sheets and let's make this happen!

I think Final Standings are completely correct... thanks to Ben Bramwell who did all the figuring at the finals so we could get payouts to the tops in ea division (6 open, 5 advanced, 6 intermediate) for a total of $475 paid out for point series final only. Thanks for letting me rope you in to all this Ben! Thanks also Joel Garn for dominating base camps every three weeks! With only 5 events this year, and historic weather, we did great to pay out another $2500 in prizes at events, and about $2000 to charities, primarily the Broda Family Foundation. And we used the money added by Adult Comfort Care to generate more funds for lucky golfers and the charities.
