Due to the ever increasing vandalism on and around the Course, Baskets will be taken out again this year for the winter. The baskets will begin to be removed starting the week of November 18th.
Dumb ass people just go and mess with the course and people like me and my friends who try to play can't anymore
It sucks that everyone has to deal with the repercussions because of the actions of a few people. But, if that's what it takes then so be it. Personally I get pretty tired of going out to enjoy myself only to find that courses are damaged, graffitied, etc etc.
hmm i have not seen any vandalism, must be an excuse
I haven't seen any vandalism at the course, just go there and see there's nothing that's vandalized. must be an excuse like KC said.
The problem is that there is really no way to police it. you cant be out there all the time. im curious if they are talking about the people drawing on the benches. thats really the only "vandalism" i can remember seeing out there.
Compared to Midland, Saginaw has no vandalism...I mean i'm pretty sure someone either A) Stole hole 5's pin (@Midland) or B) Jacked up the pin so much, the care takers removed it So I agree with KC...probably an excuse to prevent actual vandalisim..
All there is is small amounts of writing on couple benches
Yeah there isnt alot out there to vandalize. unless other areas are getting vandalized like the baseball dugouts and stuff and they are blaming it on the disc golfers.
Def not us

This course has hardly any vandalism relative to all the other unsupervised courses I've played. Players at Wickes respect the course because it's been set up so nice. Thanks to the township for looking after it. But I don't see the need to work so hard to pull the baskets. Use the resources to clean-up the sticker bushes in the fairways that are significant safety hazards. I can see me sending the bill to the township for medical care as a result of retrieving a disc someday.
They dont want to have to plow the parking lot and the cross country skiers that use the park. Sad that the make up bull**** excuses to pull the baskets.
The township got a grant to build it and its supposed to be all year around there breaking there grant contract
