I personally find it troubling that a tourney of this caliber is being played here and I see that there is no information posted on The Scene for it. No schedules, no call for volunteers, no information for players or spectators, how much parking at Blue Lake will cost. As a local disc golfer I am proud to have the USWDGC in our area and at the same time I am disturbed by the lack of promotion and information being put forth for players and spectators alike. I hope that when the Worlds come to Portland that the Directors and Administration for that event are alot more forthcoming to the general public and fans of disc golf with information. I understand the "Facebook Effect" on DGS has become ridiculous with the drama and the B.S. between Peeps is totally childish. This has made alot of golfers turn away from the Disc Golf Scene. There are some however, that still look for posts and still keep in contact with the disc golf scene locally. I am saddened that our sport has become an Elitist vs Commoners activity. Just one persons opinion....
Hey TD, I know Rebecca has been using Facebook to put out all the info for the USWDGCs. The folks over at NWDGN have a similar thread going on over there, but there at a least is a thread asking people to volunteer on NWDGN. I agree with you hope they learned from this and Worlds does a better job of spreading the info out on multiple outlets.

Its been this way for so long I dont see it changing. I would think the Powers That Be would use EVERY avenue available to seek help and promote the event. I applaud Rebecca for doing all the hard work it takes to put on this event. I just find it hard to understand the reasoning behind the sole use of NWDGN as the "Lifeline" for the Womens Worlds. No disrespect, Sam. I dont have a Facebook account and wont. Why cant I go to a disc golf site to find disc golf information?? I can tell you how much the ladies paid to play in the tourney but not a thing about when or where they are playing. Just doesn't seem right.
I understand that. I believe the NWDGN thread is actually being used by the volunteer coordinator. I found a list if times somewhere, I'll look again and repost here if I find it. BTW- you at AR #6 today, TD?
