Friday Scramble & Sunday Sanctioned Singles Leagues Suspended

Based on information from the state, CDC, & WHO the SCDGA has decided to suspend the Friday Scramble League & Sunday Sanction Singles until at least April 1st to see how the PDGA will proceed after their March 31st decision with sanctioned events.

Friday Scramble & Sunday Sanctioned Singles Leagues Suspended

Based on information from the state, CDC, & WHO the SCDGA has decided to suspend the Friday Scramble League & Sunday Sanction Singles until at least April 1st to see how the PDGA will proceed after their March 31st decision with sanctioned events.

We understand that it might be disappointing to those who enjoy playing in the weekly leagues at Oak Ledges & other courses without the area, but hope you understand. Everyone’s health in our disc golf community is very important to us & we’re sorry it has come to this. Thank you for your understanding & continued support through these times. Please keep a look out for updates in the near future.

Note that as of now, the parks and courses are still open; we are just no longer operating a SCDGA run league during this time period with cash entries and payouts. That being said, if you do play, please take appropriate measures to help mitigate the spread of the virus. According to PDGA recommendations, this includes, but is not limited to:

• Handling only your own disc

• Don't share food or water

• Limit high-fives, fist bumps and other contact

• If you are sick or feel sick, please stay away

I'm no professional but from what I'm seeing on the radar is continuing rain for the near future. Unfortunately due to conditions league for 6/23/17 is CANCELLED. I will be adding a double points night to make up for this missed week.

UPDATE ON POINTS SERIES FOR FRIDAY NIGHT DOUBLES!!!

I would like to announce that we are adding more spots to payout!! Originally we were paying out top 5 or 6 and since this league has been such a great hit/success because of you the players we are expanding the payouts to the TOP 10 in total points!!

There are going to be at least 2 more double points night (I may sneak in a triple points night)

Payouts (in SCDGA Credit) will look like this:

FIRST OFF THANK YOU TRAVIS for running leagues while I was on vacation! SECONDLY, Ace pool has been capped at $200 and we have rolled over and started a second one. If/when that reaches $200 another will be started and rolled over. The goal is to always have an ace fund being built. Thanks for the continued support!

With turning clocks forward an hour Sunday March 13th we should have plenty of time to get the rounds in starting at 5:30 sharp.

Week 20 is posted to the leaderboard, 24 players this week taking first with a 42 after a ctp throw off is Dave Holmes and Shayne Vendables taking home $50, in 2nd place also with a 42 is Brian Parsons and Mike Hill $30, and in 3rd with a 44 is Mike Gastin and Milos Dragic $16. Week 19, 21 players 2 new players to the league bringing the Friday Night Doubles total to 95 people that have visited our league! In 1st place after a ctp throw off is Jarvis Fentress and Matt Hill with a 47 taking home $50, In 2nd place is Aaron Paoletto and John Franks also with a 47 taking home $30, and in 3rd place with a 49 is Gary Haines and Trent Osborne $12.

24 players for our 16th week, tags 76-100 came in today with more shirts and towels, switched up the format a bit this week and did a total random draw instead of A/B pool, and of course 2 A players got paired up, Next week we will try A/B/C pools, it is just hard to pick who is a B player and who is a C player, after 15 weeks of nobody breaking the double digit under par mark We have in 1st place Throwing a blistering 41 -13 winning $50 Steve Cain and Travis Goldsworthy, In 2nd place with a 46 ... more
