Kevin Zane 60 - East, Long tees, 18 holes "My round score was recorded as a 61, when I went back through my scores at home I discovered that it should have been a 60> (* insert super angry face here)... anyway, turned out to be a great round considering it put me on the top card for round 2."+2
Kevin Zane 56 - West, Long tees, 18 holes "Much more solid second round that earned me a tie for 3rd and earned me $58 and earned an extra $20 in "ring of fire"... considering this was my first time in Emporia, I am pretty happy with my scores. Chuck W 67 - East, Long tees, 18 holes "Cooool and windy! Shot well on the hard holes and crappy on the easier ones...full hole summary follows 1: regular, nothing to note 2: had two great shots to set up at 20' w/ wind at my back and missed, and missed again :-p. 3: Ok drive, not close enough for a good birdie shot 4: Regular, could have had a closer second shot to par 5: could have been closer to birdie
6: regular, happy w/ the hole. 7: WTF, I don't know how I par 6 and 5 this hole...even my drive was normal, IDK 8: Ok, could have had a closer drive to birdie 9: Same, ok but could have been closer to birdie
10: looked like a good drive, hit a tree but not bad, then flick went a little far to make a difficult par 11: WTF, just scooted out of bounds, then drove closer, hit a tree and missed my putt :-p 12: regular, no memory of this whole, 13: same, no memory, 14: good drive, upshot went a little low and took bogey. 15: good drive, messy second shot again. 16: Bleh, parked right behind a tree so had to toss out, then missed my putt from the upshot. 17: good, was happy to par 18: was happy to par here also
Odd round overall, like I said, the hard holes weren't bad (besides 2, which I should have put par down). Top round was 63, I definitely could have beat that :-p"+6
Chuck W 60 - West, Long tees, 18 holes "Still a hint windy, less cold however. Hole Summary (1) Easy does it was too easy and into the main tree :-p (2) Good drive clipped a limb, so no birdie (3), Hit a limb early, otherwise fine (4) Big drive wasn't quite close enough for birdie (5) Drove on the edge of the circle, just off (6) Good hole, no changes (7) drive floated into a branch and upshot wasn't quite right :-p (8) needed a little more distance for a good birdie shot in the circle (9) clipped another branch, then put it behind a limb to miss a would be simple putt (10) forehand hit the mando tree and went OB, nuff said (11) Hit a tree early but recovered to save (12) forehand to park, and birdie...finally (13) Drive put me behind the wall of trees but got a nice thumber (like my 3rd ever) to save (14) just outside the circle, no birdie :( (15) just inside the circle, though a big tree in the way (16) no note, good hole (17) drive was a little short but upshot was lazy (easy does it gets me again) (18) upshot was on the edge in a windy putt, close but no chain.
