Windsor Essex Disc Golf (WEDG) is a small and dedicated volunteer organization that promotes the sport of disc golf in the Windsor and Essex County, Ontario area. Our goal is to see more people outside, enjoying the wonderful sport of disc golf in permanent installation courses in Windsor and Essex County.
What: 2nd Annual "Tecumseh Open" Disc Golf Event.
Cost: $25 (US or CAD accepted) to play, one round of 18 holes, followed by open play on the course after lunch.
A limited amount of commemorative discs will be available as part of the entry fee.
Payouts for all divisions in merchandise. Payout calculation will be posted prior to the tournament.
Beginner Friendly event.
*Smoke Free event.
We will have 18 real baskets for this event, setup on a temporary layout. It is a former ball golf course that is very open. You will not lose a disc out here!
Where: Lakewood Park 13451 Riverside Drive East , Tecumseh, Ontario N8P 1H4
When: Saturday September 19, 2015. Registration from 9:00 to 10:00am
Why: WEDG is working on bringing disc golf to this location in a permanent installation course. This tournament is a showcase to the town that there is indeed interest in this sport. We are also very excited that Lakewood Park has potential to be a great course for all abilities.
Disc Golf is a low-cost, year round, all ages outdoor activity that is growing at a steady rate across the globe. Currently there are no courses in Essex County.
