We went down to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen Pantry on MLK Day. Picked up 1400 lb of food from Greening Automotive. Scott Burnham and Roberts Elementary raised about 750 lbs of food with their food drive. Giving us a total of 3750 lbs ! A new record for the Freezebee Ice Bowl !

That was impressive in itself, and that 'very close' turned into actually reaching $6000 in cash donations with some last minute gifts to get us to that milestone !!!

Very well done by everyone that participated at the Ice Bowl and throughout the year. Every year I wonder how we will meet the previous year total and I'm in awe when we surpass it by huge margins.

Their donation is already included in our total, they are bringing their food with them when we head to the Soup Kitchen on Monday. Huge turn out due to the nice weather, or maybe people just came out to get a taste of the 11 pots of chili. In either case, the folks at the soup kitchen will be most appreciative.

I have not even begun to weigh the food but the finances look like we surpassed the (drum-roll please - ppdddddddd) $5700 mark. I would never promise any times when forecasting the end to a disc golf tournament, especially one where the weather (early January) could affect the outcome. However, with a 10 am start time for the 1st round and if there is snow, I would say we would have lunch around 1ish. We could start the final 9 around 2 which would end around 3:30 ish. If there is no to minimal snow, we could finish earlier. This is just a guess and I am kinda basing it off of memory on how things played out the past few Ice Bowls.

A small glitch with the Scene but all is well... We currently have $2900 raised which is about $400 more than we had at this time last year...
