About this tournament
HouckDesign ABCD Workshop: John and Dee Houck's first ever The Art and Business of Course Design: all day Friday October 2 and Saturday afternoon October 3. Instructional workshop covers key aspects of designing premier disc golf courses and the business principles behind it. Leveraging a “Learn and Do†methodology, each participant will apply and present the concepts for feedback. This is the introductory course of the HouckDesign Institute, participants will learn more about future education opportunities, receive an exclusive collectible custom disc and qualify for discounts to future workshops and classes.
Workshop only with YMCA access, no lodging onsite with breakfast snack and lunch and Dinner on Friday; Lunch on Saturday; (+$300)
Workshop with YMCA access, cabin bunk Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night plus meals Thursday evening through Sunday Lunch., Workshop all day Friday and 1/2 Day on Saturday; (+$435)
Tournament: This year's only opportunity to compete on this amazing Houck Design course a the inaugural event.
- Tournament entry limited to 30 competitors.
- Amateur Player Package includes an exclusive course inaugural custom disc for first 25 registrants
- 36 holes of golf consisting of 2 rounds of play; Rolling tee times; 1 Round per day;
- Price includes $35 for access to Frost Valley YMCA and lunch on Saturday/Sunday;
- $500 added cash to professional division(s)
- Tournament Payout will be calculated using PDGA standards and based on the entry fees, less $35 YMCA fee, less PDGA player fee, insurance, sanctioning fees, players package (if applicable) and miscellaneous expenses.
• Course open for practice on Thursday for Conference attendees
• Course open for practice on Friday for Tournament competitors
Upgrade options to bunk in 10 person cabin plus meals for Friday/Saturday (+$105)
or just Saturday night (+$85) when registering.
Notes:
• Organized so one may both play in tournament (Saturday AM) and attend workshop (Saturday PM)
The Frost Valley YMCA will have school groups on the property that week, they request everyone check in after 1:00 pm
Every adult over the age of 18 will be asked to show their driver's license to be scanned and cross referenced with the national sex offender registry.
