Thanks to all for participating in what is turning into a great tradition.. I had a great time and I played (disc) well enough. My chili failed to earn 1st place votes although I received many compliments on my seafood chili (#5). Bold step, yes, but I would do it again if I had another chance. The winning formula this year seemed to be spicy, thick and meaty. The #4 Drukis chili was all that and more.

2009: Brown
2010: Newman/Lane
2011: Drukis/Drukis. (I don't see a Fortunato on this list, although his effort this year was valiant)

dearly beloved i am hereby backing out of the chili cook off.
in these times of famine and strife it is refreshing to see glimpses of ambition and enthusiasm from the masses. in particular some of you seem especially excited to have the opportunity to win something for once in your miserable lives. the presence of the concoctions from the most holy has no place at this table. this would be no concept of fair is fair otherwise. i will however still be present to pass off the papal mitre or hat for the ignt to this years most high. amen.
