This is a *great* event for new players, and here's why: - You get two new discs, so you can even share one later with a friend. - The competitive aspect of the day is pretty laid-back, it's more about fun. - We shorten the holes, so it's easier to feel good about your skills (and get an ace, maybe your first?). - There will be lots of members of the local club (San Diego Aces) present, willing to give tips and instruction if you're interested. - We'll be grilling those fantastic ... more

- We'll be grilling those fantastic hot dogs from Costco, only asking for a small non-tax deductible donation.

So, I'm biased, but I think it's a great way to start your disc golfing career!

What if I have never played? Is this an event that would be suitable for me? Obviously I would not expect to do well, just want to make sure that a 'rookie' would impose!

Could be, but I think the profile looks a little more tapered toward the nose than the Aftershock, but we won't know until we have them in our hands, will we? ;)
