Had some time to get out to USDGA and played DGLO. Thought I would take a moment to thank John and the tounament entire crew, the sponsors and volunteers for a simply spectacular two weekend extravaganza. Outside of host Worlds, I don't know of a bigger undertaking than running back to back Tier A and a Major. The Detroit/Metro area disc golf scene has to be considered one of the premier destinations in the the country, and many of the folks involved here are primary reasons why. Thank you.

VOLUNTEERS / SPOTTERS NEEDED FOR USADGC this Friday to Sunday!!! (Thursday, too)
Volunteers leave with a stack of fresh Discraft plastic!! (details below)
Round-up time is 7am to 9am every morning of the tournament, first-come first-serve with preference given to veteran spotters. We can use someone with a truck / SUV at 6am, and a few afternoon (12-1pm start time) relievers are needed, too. A crew of volunteers is needed Thursday afternoon around 3pm-6pm to help with tent setup and course prep.
Volunteers will receive a shirt, catered lunch, and a Discraft misprint disc per hour of service. Thank you in advance for helping make the Toboggan tournaments world-class events. (Shout-out to our crew from last weekend, too!!) See everyone in just a few days!!

Since Kensington recently cut a TON of trees & brush down, our roles as spotters will shift more towards general volunteers with an emphasis on course management, crowd control, etc. Since we don't need an unlimited amount of spotters like we once did, the plan now is to take volunteers each morning on a first-come, first-served basis (preference going to veteran volunteers). 10-15 people on Fridays, 15-20 people on Sat/ Sundays. We'll announce official times soon, but it'll basically be something like this: show up at Kensington at 7am and either get a spot as a volunteer, shift over to Hudson Mills (if DGLO), or be put on a waiting list for the afternoon in case anyone leaves. At that point if you're on a waiting list, you could spectate or go play a round on the Black Locust course and we'll call you if we need people. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience, but we feel it's the easiest way of doing it.
