TONIGHT @ 7:00 Tee Off - Get your Glow On.....

Here is the progress of the new course layout.

I updated the map slightly to reflect the slight changes to Holes 2 & 10.

This last weekend I mowed the path down hole 1 and the cut through to Hole 1 tee pad from the paved path and new parking lot. The path then crosses the street and follows a new path to Hole 2 - Am pad to the left and Pro pad up to the right.

Hole 2 Fairway and AM pad area which Chris Gee and I cleared the previous weekend needed to be pushed longer and so it has taken a turn for the better - off to the right and into the woods by about 100'.

The new pin placement is shown in the new pictures and if you look closely you will see a pheasant joined at the end of the day to check out the hole improvement. He approved but does not like paparazzi or jerks lurking in the woods with iPhones

Hole 3 still needs the tee pads location determined but the basic layout is defined and just needs to be cleared. This was a critical step in ensuring the 4 holes at the Cross roads used as much spaces as needed to make them interesting and challenging without conflicting with each other and of course to locate the Chill zone at the cross roads.

The path is now mowed out from Hole 3 and over to the meadow and Hole 4 which has a walking path mowed across the meadow. The wooded area of Hole 4 has been cleared for some time now.

Holes 4,5 & 6 in the woods are cleared - we have been playing holes 5 & 6 in Sunday mornings leagues to get a feel for how they play.

There is now a mowed path down hole 7 back throw the meadow - 6' high grass is cool to walk through (not in) along the stand of trees that define this hole. Exit the path and follow the the paved path to the right to the end of the tree line and cross the mountain bike path and you are at Hole 8 tee pad shooting across the small meadow and then into the woods. This fairway is rough mowed as well.

Hole 9 tee pad is off to the right from Hole 8 pin - follow the path. The Hole 9 pin placement is in the process of being cleared as it was also pushed back about 80' and may go back another 20' or so by the time the rough cut is done. From hole 9 follow the path to the right, past the two apple trees and stay to the left - into the woods deeper and the path crosses the path from Hole 2-3 - this is the cross roads and the Chill Zone, one day soon - needs to be cleared. Hole 10 tee pads will be just past the Chill zone. This fairway is just a walking path and I just mowed the pin area and the path out to Hole 11 which starts the holes in the Big Meadow. Hole 11 shoots out straight toward the Pond. More on these holes as progress reaches them.

I hope to have a walking path mowed throw all the remaining holes so the whole course can be walked easily. I hope to continue working on Saturdays between 10:30am and 6:00pm and also on Tuesdays from 5:00 until 7:15. - Until my wife gets out her loppers and comes after me.....

Everyone is welcome - there is still plenty of fun for all.

Enjoy the Rounds - Peace - Hope to see you at Glow tonight CHAAA!!!!
