YOU are responsible for your disc. If you hit something or someone with YOUR disc you are liable for the damage. The only possible exception to this would be if someone moved INTO the way of your disc, however, I still think a lawyer/jury would love to argue you are still responsible for your disc. Yelling fore is an "Oh sh*t" moment when you realize you might be about to hurt someone. Don't hesitate! I would much rather be falsely alerted than not alerted at all.

Those that think that others should be responsible for getting out of the way of a flying disc are WRONG! Pedestrians, be they disc golfers or not, have the right of way on the road and on the disc golf course. Set the example people, as kindly as possible explain this to people that don't get it yet. WE ALL need to do our part to teach others the etiquette of our sport.
