Clean Knollwood FOR GOOD!   November 23, 2012 at 7:58pm

The Fight Has Only Just Begun

For the past four years, a clean up effort has been maintained at Knollwood Park in Kalamazoo, MI. This effort has been relatively effective and has kept the park looking better, unfortunately, it is not enough. The frat house on hole 8 continues to constantly break glass, the homeless population and drunken people knock over garbage cans, and those in the city responsible for maintaining the park still do not empty the garbage cans. I pledge that over the next year, our focus will be on a more permanent form of change in the area of clean up and improvement of the park. City planning meetings will be attended, contact with the Kalamazoo City Commission will be maintained, and we will see a day when our work will have a lasting effect. We should not have to fear that our children will step on broken glass, that we will arrive to see the fairways covered in garbage, and that our course will forever remain unfinished and decaying. Several events will be organized and great feats will be accomplished, do you want to be a part of this change? If so, leave a word of support in the talk section and begin following this club. When we join together, we can create a community culture of pride, if we let the park go by the wayside, we have none but ourselves to blame.
