Jim - Thanks

Yes these are important things to understand and learn from. I do take exception to your comment "This is not State Finals, you are trying to get established." When we did the Summer Finale last year we had almost 800 players that could have shown up. That means several courses would be needed, more TDs, more coordination, more food, player packs .... How do you plan for such a potential. Anything over 78 players means extra of everything. Also we are trying to establish a State Disc Golf League championship. There are potentially many more league players than tournament players. If we are successful in finding ways to increase the fun and other incentives like bigger payouts than this could be the largest statewide disc golf event.

So we know players hate to make decisions early and the don't seem to want to pay in advance. For the same Finale Pete implemented online payment which really helps the TDs - working capital in advance helps them do a lot more for the players. Now I see MDGO is using that same new feature. Change and growth is painful sometimes, not everyone will use these features but options are great and the best stuff will be used until a better option is available.

Sure many players are not willing to travel to play a big league round but if we keep improving and removing the hurdles than collectively we can make this BIG'r. 1000 players starts to get sponsor interest - then there is money from more than just the players or a little merch which represent a lot of work for the TDs and venture capital that may not be recovered. You have to try different things and test the waters, learn from the results and adjust. If leagues are more successful we will see more players in tournaments which means the whole sport grows and improves.

Thanks for the reminder of the challenges and your feedback. This is what is going to help us grow. Thanks

Daemon - Thanks for the "retarded" post - all feedback has it's place and I needed a good laugh - I can always count on you ;-)
