About this League
You may only play in A3's leagues if you have paid your annual $30 club dues.
Dues are collected beginning on the last Wednesday of April through the following year’s league start up.
Dues must be paid before league rounds will be tracked.
You will receive the same player pack as the players participating in the One Disc Challenge, April 30 at Hudson Mills Metropark, except the One Disc.
Lakeshore Handicap League Details:
Play 3 rounds to establish your average/handicap will be calculated. One point will be earned for the first three rounds a player logs.
Total points for the end of the year will be counted as each player’s best 12 rounds.
$1 Ace Pool optional.
MDGO Berths are available to club and league members based on a desire to win a berth, paying your dues and participation in league events.
New to the league this year:
Handicap will be applied to the score you shoot and you will earn points according to where you place: 10 points for first, 9 for second, etc., with each person earning at least one point.
Highest/worst score will be dropped after every 6 rounds played when calculating handicap. This will prevent “sand bagging” and make handicaps more fair.
Hazards will be played as OB on all holes. Not just water/over the bricks.
Ace pool will pay 50% for players without average established. 100% for players with average established. Player will receive 5 bonus points for an ace.
$1 cash and disc CTPs will be available for all rounds. The number available will depend on the number of players.
League in 2014 will be on Mondays at 5:30pm. No make-up days for this league this year.
All unpaid Ace Pool money will be used at the end of season league party for food and refreshments at Hudson Mills Metropark.

Who's ready to talk State Tournament berths?
I know some of you have been asking and wondering about how berths were going to be handled, and I have some answers. First, people with berths have to be paid and signed up by August 22. I have 3 berths to hand out to our league. We can all talk about it on Monday, but I wanted to give you some time to think it over. If we take points over the next 3 weeks, we'd call "berth points" after the August 11 round. I would make a tally after that round and the top 3 would be awarded berths. If s ... more

If we take points over the next 3 weeks, we'd call "berth points" after the August 11 round. I would make a tally after that round and the top 3 would be awarded berths. If someone cannot/doesn't want/already has a berth to go to the State Tournament, the berth will drop to the next highest point total.
The other option would just be to extend one more week, to August 18, but that just leaves 4 days to report the winners and have them register for the tournament.
I'll know the winners on whichever Monday night we pick and I'll send the winners to the MDGO that night. The question will be the time you guys will need to pay.
Like I said earlier, I want to have some discussion on Monday, and we'll have a decision before we tee off. Whoever is there before the round, we'll all gather and vote as a group. This league is . If there is a tie, I will cast the final vote. I'd also like to get an idea of who can or cannot make it if they receive a berth.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and feel free to send me any questions or concerns.

Well, it took 3 years...
But we finally got not just one, but a PAIR OF ACES draining the ace pool tonight!! Big congrats to newcomer EJ Robson and Rob Dehaan who aced Hole 4 and Hole 15, respectively. Rob cashed twice by taking the 50/50 CTP on Hole 13 and Chris Kerns took the 100% on Hole 10. Welcome to new A3 members Larry Jones and Arrington Lecompte! We now have 14 players with handicaps, and I want to thank everyone for making this the most successful A3 Lakeshore League yet! I'll see everyone Monday!

First round of the season!
It felt good to get some rust knocked off, and we had a good turnout for the first round of the "summer." Jesse Mullins took a 100% CTP on #15, and Ainslie took the 50/50 on #4. Don't think you can't catch up if you missed the first round, though! It only takes 3 rounds to set your average, and your 10 best point totals count, so there is still lots of time to raise your game. Thanks to everyone who came out, and I'll see you all on Monday!
