Doubles Cancelled This Week - 10.2.2010 - Course Closed

Course is closed until construction is complete (3-4 more business days), so doubles will not take place this Saturday. We actually didn't really have anyone to run it anyways. Doubles will resume 9th and we WILL be teeing off of concrete tee pads. That is all, good night in disc golf land..

Doubles on Hiatus

We will be busy with other area events over the next few weeks so Doubles is canceled July 31st and August 7th. We will return to play Saturday August 14th.

Get out and play the Great Lakes Open - August 7-8 at Hudson Mills Metropark.

Please support our sponsor CJs in these warm months by purchasing discs and beer made in Michigan. Last time I was there I saw a stack of first run Z Nukes up by the register. CJs is (kind of) on your way to Indy if you take N. Territorial to Jennings Rd. They also have pretzel sticks from the Dexter bakery that are illegal in 12 states.

Dubs this Week

Avoid the Art Fair, come to Indy! Dubs is on at noon on Saturday. Layout TBD. If you can't make Thrills at the Mills for whatever reason come on out to play some golf and get some points. Ace pool is $184 + last week + this week. Most likely it will be a white round, although if enough people want to play longs it will happen.

Saturday Doubles will be on this week at Independence Lake. We will play the long tees this week so bring your A game. Some areas of the rough are pretty deep out there right now so please take the time to send out that spotter on the longer holes. Weather is looking nice. and hot. That spray park (near Picnic hole #6) will feel nice after the round.. If you have the time and funds and motivation then check out the tournament at Rolling Hills on Saturday. Should be a fine time out there ... more

I've been messing around with a new league grading system. It is based on the percentage of players you beat. Here is how the Grades look for the Saturday Dubs players that have at least two league rounds. These may be used to break ties when determining who will play on the pro side.

Summer League Kickoff Tomorrow

We carry over $95 of the ace pool and round it up to make it $101 to start the season.

Come on out to get your points in the Michigan Cooperative Point Series - summer session. Should be a good turnout this week with the only tournament at Flip City that is already full. Weather is looking good with a high of 65 degrees on Saturday.
