Jon Tveite 58 - Long tees, 18 holes "This was warm afternoon for my first-ever round at Swope Park. It's a fun course -- big trees, lots of down & up fairways. I think I threw every disc in my bag. The baskets were generally pretty short, so I really should have scored better. Played two of the toughest holes well for easy pars (#12, way back left around the arc of the fence, & #15, way back left), and I should have parred #13 after a great tee shot and a good approach to about 20'. Only managed one birdie on this circuit, but I parked 3-4 practice shots, so that was encouraging."+3
Jon Tveite 57 - Long tees, 18 holes "Thought I would go around again, and started out better, going even par on the front nine. This time I was landing a lot of tee shots in the 35'-50' range and then pelting the baskets with jump putts, none of which would drop. Had an easy deuce on #6, though, and drop-in after an ace run on #11. I played the long, difficult #12 even better this time, throwing a Nuke off the tee that skipped over the berm and left me about a 50'-60' putt and an easy par. A bad streak of bogeys on #13-15 (all tough holes) wore me out and cost me a decent score."Saturday, June 2, 2012
