Holes 1-10 are playable, but not too well marked out yet. It's still a work in progress.

we are not playing the new holes Wednesday because we don't have maps yet, not a lot of people know the correct flow, it's not 100% done and there are a total of 5 layouts at B-field (including the new course when it's done), I'd rather play it in its entirety and utilize layouts that flow better when 50 some odd golfers are out there.

I’ll be posting the results from the Fundraiser soon. It’s been a long 8 days for me, so I’m taking the day off.

What happened at the fundraiser? Who placed? What was hot? What do people think of the new course? Why are we not playing any of it Wednesday?

Is the new course playable yet?

17 was moved because the long basket was too close to 15s fairway and with the hole an island green, players are now forced to play a placement shot rather than just throwing it past the short pin (into 15s fairway) and laying up for an easy 3.

Overall, it's a better more strategic hole. And it also gave us another basket for the new course.

There will be more changes occurring on the original park over the summer, all for safety and playability reasons, of course :)

Oh Davis and Q...it's a figure of speech guys. Sheesh ;)

I'm pretty sure a disc golf hole doesn't have a gender in the first place

I am sure that hole has no sexual preference :)

Yea. This hole is extremely gay now...why the change?

Wait... the sand is safe and the grass is O.B.?? Whelp - I took a 6 there today thinking you had to pitch up to the rocks and putt over the sand. Guess I shoulda read that sign!

FYI.... the long basket on 17 has been removed and the short relocated in the sandtrap, which now plays as an island green :)

Thanks Erin, I'm sure that's a relief for many!

The fact that this course is rated an A- is about the biggest joke on tDGS. C'mon people, give Devil's Den it's due. Solid A+, top 5 Michigan course wo a doubt -fee or not!

Don't know if it's official but playing the "ghost" rock boundary seems only logical as a shot can easily roll into the sandy area that remains without a wall now; i have seen it happen.

Anyone that plans on playing in the state championships, if you don't have a Michigan Bag Tag you are missing out on potentially getting your registration cash back as well as other prizes!

If you want to learn how to play better tags are a great way to challenge others better then you so that you can learn from them.

yes, the bunker shape has changed

I noticed rocks in a vaguely pac-man ghost formation in the sand trap behind long 13 - is this a change in the OB boundries for this bunker?

As a suggestion, we definitely need more picnic tables at the tees. I think I remember seeing one and it was on hole 16 Long tee. Few more trash cans will hopefully help stop some of the locals from littering as well. Otherwise, great course and can't wait to play on the new one!

Here's some video from Burchfield, captured during last summer's CCR Open:

if you see any park staff around, they are always willing to help, maybe by getting you a scorecard if there are none there.

Baskest, chainstar... map, there is a box near the parking lot that has scorecards with maps... if there are none in there, the course isn't too bad to follow. There are directional signs leading to baskets and pads on a lot of holes... I'll try to find a score card and scan the map and upload it to the Scene for you... so check back here before you head to the course. and have fun!
