Huktoberfest 2012

All of us with WRDGC would like to give a big THANK YOU to the Northern Utah Disc Golf Association for co-sponsoring the Huktoberfest disc golf tournament with us here in Pinedale, WY!!! A new course record was shot by Troy Later (-9) from the green tee's. Brady Boyter has the course record (-6) from the red tee's. A fat prize will be awarded to the person who beats either record at Huktoberfest, come and get it!!

Huktoberfest

It's official Huktoberfest will be held in Pinedale, WY this year!! The event will be non-sanctioned, one day, two rounds of eighteen holes on Saturday October 13th. As of right now all ten deluxe cabins are available for that weekend at Lakeside Lodge. Rooms will be discounted to $85 dollars a night. All these rooms could easily be shared by 4-6 people to keep the cost down. All the cabins are in a row and right on Fremont Lake. The lodge has a full restaurant and bar right on hole one. The rooms go fast and it's a miracle they all happen to be available that weekend. If you want a cabin you need to call (307) 367-2221 to reserve them (sooner the better before they're gone). No money is required until the day you check in. I know this is an inconvenience for some but it is well worth the trip which everyone who has made it here will vouch for. WRDGC Rendezvous classic

Rendezvous classic will be our first big tournament of the year taking place on Saturday July 14 2012. This is a big weekend in Pinedale with Rendezvous going on so we hope to see a lot of people out. Divisions will depend on the turn out but count on a intermediate and advanced division for sure. If we have enough kids or ladies we will accommodate any division necessary. Entry fee will be $30 for all divisions getting each entrant a players pack including a custom tournament stamped disc and a ... more

Learn To Play Day

WRDGC is proud to announce the second annual Learn To Play Day on June 16th 2012. We will be having a big barbeque and taking groups out and teaching them how to play disc golf. Bring you kids and families out for a exciting day. The event will start at 10:00a.m and go on until about 4:00 p.m. Everything is completely free to the public. The club will provide loaner discs and have lots of discs and starter packs for sale. We hope to have a great turn out and look forward to seeing you all there, Troy Later

2012 WRDGC league.

This Sunday WRDGC will be starting thr first of a by-monthly league. We will be playing on the first Sunday and the third Saturday of every month. Entry is fifteen dollars which is $10 entry two CTP's and 1 dollar ace pot. Tee off will be around 1:00 p.m. There will be a advanced and intermediate division. We will pay out the top two places for each division. Cash to first place and a disc for second place. This league will be a lot of fun and give everyone a chance to make a few bucks and help the club as well. Hope to see you all out, Troy.

New 18 hole layout.

Last weekend we brought our other nine baskets back out to the course and changed the layout quite a bit, no more up and down on the last holes. Lots of changes and awesome mix of holes and difficultly levels. Lots of events coming up this year stay posted for dates. Love some feed back on the new layout, thanks

18 hole course!!!!

I'm very happy to announce that our course at Lakeside Lodge is now 18 holes. We finished our last four baskets last weekend and got them added on Sunday. Come out and check them out!!

October 8th Ace Race in Pinedale

The format for the Ace Race weekend will be; night golf on Friday, Ace Race Saturday morning, doubles tourney Saturday afternoon and night golf again on Saturday night. Lots of golf on Sunday and skeet shooting and fishing on Sunday also.

Reserve a cabin

The number for Lakeside lodge is (307)367- 2221. The cabins are going fast!! If you want to reserve one you should call soon and lock it in. They will not charge you until you get up here they only need a card number to hold it. Again they have discounted the deluxe cabins to 85 dollars a night. I have all remaining cabins held for the tournament up to the 8th of September then they will start renting them to the public. The goal is to to have every cabin on the lake for the tourney!!!

This is going to be the first tournament that our very young Club has had. We are extremely excited for the event and will be going to great lengths to make this an epic event!

For those who haven't been to our course it is along Fremont Lake at the beautiful Lakeside Lodge. Before you start your round you can purchase 6 or 12 packs of beer to go from the Lodge right at hole one. After the round enjoy fine dinning on the patio overlooking the majestic Fremont Lake and the Wind River Mountain Range. I encourage everyone to check out the Lakeside Lodge link http://www.lakesidelodge.c​om/ and take a virtual tour of the facility. There are twelve deluxe cabins that are normally $185 a night that are being discounted to $80-$90 a night for the event. There are also four rustic cabins that have no plumbing for more of a camping feel that will be about half of the price of the deluxe cabins. The bathroom and shower house is located right next to the rustic cabins. All cabins have patios and fire pits that we will stock with wood for those interested in staying. Right now all cabins are being held until 30 days before the event. If you are coming and want a cabin please let us know as soon as possible so we can reserve you a spot. The deluxe cabins have two queen size beads and plenty of floor room if you want to share the cost with multiple friends.

We encourage everyone to make a weekend of it. There is excellent fishing, hiking, site seeing and Lakeside lodge has a relaxing ambiance second to none. Hope to see everyone here, let us know if you have any questions.

"Learn To Play Day & BBQ" Saturday July 2nd

Located at Lakeside Links disc golf course at Lakeside Lodge of Pinedale, WY. Food and drink will be provided by the Club. This is a free event so come learn the basics of playing disc golf and get introduced to the course. We will have discs available to use and Club members there to guide you through the course.
