D.F. Buchmiller Park Disc Golf Course | Drone Flyover
•Welcome to D.F. Buchmiller Park, located in Lancaster PA. This 18 hole all par 3 course has a lot more to offer than you may think.
•Established in 1994, this course plays within a beautiful grassy park with very large mature trees, up and down some moderately steep hills, and through some tight wooded fairways.
•The 18 tee pads play to two different baskets on almost every hole, so I’ll be taking you through both the main, and alternate layouts today, coming in at 5,411 and 5,731 feet respectively. I’ll also be giving you my thoughts on the course as a whole, so stick around for that. For now, let’s get started.
•D.F. Buchmiller is not a championship level course in length or difficulty, but it is a very fun, very well maintained and challenging course for what it is. A good challenge for beginners and intermediate players and a good shot shaping practice course for the more experienced.
•Although it is an all par 3’s course, you still have to execute lines, and the alternate baskets do have decent distance. Playing through a beautiful park with a wide variety of mature trees is a great plus for this course as well.
•The alt baskets could use an update, but this course has been around for almost 30 years so the original baskets add to the nostalgia for players who have been playing here all their lives.
•Bathrooms are available, and it is very cart friendly.
•I try to rate all courses I breakdown on the same scale, so I am going to have to give this course a 4 out of 10 compared to other courses I’ve talked about, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like it. I highly recommend playing this course if you are in Lancaster or anywhere near there. This course does also host quite a few tournaments, so that should show you how highly this course is held to the local players and clubs.
